I love tech, but the ISS is as ugly as it gets.

So who will be first to identify where those two land masses are using satellite maps?

Sheila Jackson Lee would tell you the first image is from the surface of Mars as Atlantis does a flyover.   ;-)

Doesn’t count without a screen shot and/or link.

I did a quick scan of west coasts in the world, and haven’t come up with anything for the second photo...

Well, since the third one is already identified in the description; "3. NASA's Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-129) high above the Mediterranean Sea, near the coast of Algeria, 25 November 2009 ", I'd say the first is somewhere over North Africa--the Sahara.

I gather the pictures where taken from the ISS after Atlantis undocked or right before they docked.

Absolutely beautiful! The remarkable thing about viewing earth from aloft is a sense of serenity. You would never know that mankind was at war below.

The 25 November 2009 photos were taken after NASA’s Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-129) had undocked from the International Space Station.

The bottom one is near the coast of Algeria. That one's a no-brainer.
