Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
Marking to the original idea post! ... :)
LOL LOL Love it..okay, I’ll see ya’ll in the morning. Will work on a bit tonight. Am caught up, (I think).
Cedric be DAID?!?!
Great googa-mooga, ze Zot gods done GOT HIM!
BWHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!! :)
Cedric was one of the more clever trolls. He raised disingenuousness to an art form ;-). I rarely bothered to argue with him, because he made me too damn angry. Not that he scored any points on me. He just angered me to no end. He would pimp the devil himself if there was the requisite(R) after their name ;-)
It's not unfounded. It's based upon your words on this thread, in multiple posts. That's what's telling.
Thanks for the information. Didn’t know that...
that's the only antidote to the poison the cultists have put in the koolaid. Newtie sunk the R party almost single handed with his Algore koolaid!
Don’t get me wrong. George W. Bush is a fine, decent man. His love and respect for our troops deserves our thanks, as does everything he’s done to keep us safe. He is a religious man who believes in the sanctity of life. For that, God will look kindly on him.
On the other hand, if we can credit him with these things (as we should) we should also credit him with those things that run against conservative doctrine, and not give him a pass by blaming it on others who reported to him. He had the final decision.
This is not to say he wasn’t misled. He was. But as president, the buck stops at his desk. It’s what the office is all about.
Then we have Amnesty. McCain, Graham and Mel Martinez were instrumental on the Republican side in crafting/supporting the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006, and Bush supported the effort. We are the sum of the decisions we make, and both the bailout and Immigration Reform were bad ideas for America. I’m sorry, but with all his good and fine traits, he failed us in two key areas (not to mention the great increase in government spending over his second term).
If we’re to hold our leaders accountable, we must do so with clear vision and with willingness to hold all accountable. I voted for the man twice. Both times with joy. But in his second term, I came to realize he was not the man we needed for the crisis that was brewing. That made me sad, but I can’t let those failures pass.
I despise RINOS, but yes, they are better than Obongo. ANY RINO is better than the Kenyan Marxist. At least RINOS like McCain do usually vote with the Repubs. I don’t consider Snowe and Collins RINOS. They are closet Dems.
Dinner was fine. Saw three buddies from my Kiwanis club and another couple I worked with years ago, who we haven’t seen for some time. The meat loaf was fine as usual, but I passed on the pie this time. After Thanksgiving, I need to reign it in a little...
We bought one of those large Hamilton Beach crock pots a year or so ago with the slide out insert. We love it and do a lot of our cooking in it. I just might do a roast today for dinner tonight when the wife gets home. That insert sure makes it easy to clean...
My, post #2153 must really have been something for it to be deleted.
Yep, I just found out myself. Check out posts #2162 & 2163. Post #2162 references post #2153 (by Cedric) which was removed by the Moderator. Note also, post #2161 was removed, but I have no idea who's post that was.
I came online this morning, began replying to posts (one of which was from Cedric) and finally arrived at post #2162, having been pinged to it. Hoo, ha.
Cedric played it way too hard these past two days, even stalking rintense on another thread. This thread belongs to Jim. Not only would he be monitoring it, but I'm sure Ad Mods were as well. It wasn't the best idea to go contra to the owner of this forum so blatantly, and do so in a condescending, abrasive manner.
We'll see what his reincarnation is. With his ego, he'll be back.
Whew. Wake up this morning and find out there’s the smell of ZOT in the air. I have to laugh, though. He can’t even get my username right in post #2157. He calls me ‘Bosco’ when I’m actually ‘bcsco’. There really is a Bosco on FR, but this is the first time I can recall our handles being mixed up.
Talk about flying in the face of common sense. That was Cedric for sure the way he handled himself on Jim Rob’s own thread. Oh, well, I’m looking forward to seeing what his new reincarnation will be. With his ego, he’ll be back.
Lastly, thanks for the backup. I appreciate it.
Isn’t that a contradiction, though? If Snowe and Collins are closet Dems with an (R) behind their name, how are they any better than Obama? Their votes, as well as McCain’s, usually fall with Dems, not Republicans. Sad to say, but I fully expect two of those three to roll and vote for O care.
BECAUSE Odumbo is a devout Marxist that wants to destroy capitlism and change this country forever and most likely plans to rule forever. Snowe and Collins are just homely liberals hiding behind the R name. Being a RINO, a liberal or a Communist are not the same thing.
When their votes side with him, it is exactly the same thing.
Sad to say, but I fully expect two of those three to roll and vote for O care.
______________
McCain, I doubt it. Snowe and Collins, if the price is right, probably. McCain wants to be re-elected. I don’t think the twins care, they can be paid off.
When you take into account the term RINO would include 'closet Dems', then they are still RINOS. After all, they're in office on the Republican ticket. As I see it, RINO is not a narrowly defined acronym.
At least RINOS like McCain do usually vote with the Repubs.
Yes, they do. But they often vote 'yes' on Democrat measures, as well as help craft legislation that's contrary to small government, and which can be considered anti-American. the 2006 Amnesty brouhaha is a case in point. McCain, Graham and Mel Martinez were all instrumental in that legislation on the Republican side. The same holds true for healthcare. Look at Graham and how he's willing to work with Obama. And look at McCain's 2008 suspension of his campaign to go to DC and vote FOR the bailout. That act was likely the single most important decision in his losing the election.
Saying RINOs are better than Obama is a blanket statement that can backfire on us. When they get things right, that's fine. But when they get things wrong it's often on things that really matter. And when they're supposed to be on our side, that's inexcusable.
We all have our own ideas of what a RINO is. And not all RINOs vote as a bloc, nor do they necessarily agree on any given item. But they all have one thing in common. They are far more invested with bipartisanship as a method of business, and in maintaining their 'anointed' roles as Senators and Representatives, than they are in representing the people who placed them there.
