President Obama continued his outreach to the world's Muslims today, sending greetings to pilgrims to Mecca.

"Michelle and I would like to send our best wishes to all those performing Hajj this year, and to Muslims in America and around the world who are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha. The rituals of Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha both serve as reminders of the shared Abrahamic roots of three of the world’s major religions," Obama said in a statement.
"During Hajj, the world’s largest and most diverse gathering, three million Muslims from all walks of life – including thousands of American Muslims – will stand in prayer on Mount Arafat. The following day, Muslims around the world will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha and distribute food to the less fortunate to commemorate Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son out of obedience to God," the president added in the statement, translated on the White House website into Arabic, Persian, Dari, Urdu, Pashto, Russian, and French.

I might get banned and reported to the FBI for posting it, but I’ll bet there’s enough nutballs out there that have thought about taking this “matter” into their own hands...... I’m certainly not wishing for it....but it would not surprise me in the least. This guy is p!issing off a lot of people.

I send holiday greetings to all Muslims celebrating Eid al-Adha.
During Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world reflect on Abraham’s unwavering faith and his trust in God when asked to sacrifice his son. These four days are a time for Muslims to honor Abraham’s obedience by celebrating with family and friends and showing gratitude for the many blessings bestowed by God. This holiday also helps ensure the important values of compassion and devotion are passed on to future generations.
America is a land of many beliefs, and our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens. The kindness, generosity, and goodwill displayed by American Muslims during this special occasion and throughout the year have contributed to the strength and vitality of our Nation. May all those observing Eid al-Adha find love and warmth during this joyous holiday.
Laura and I send our best wishes for a memorable celebration.

A very different greeting, pointing to the Old Testament picture of of God’s promised Son & His sacrifice for the redemption of sin in the story of Abraham & the son of promise, Issac. No mention of Ishmael, and his still-necked donkey decendants.
Just a reminder - Obama isn’t Christian, he isn’t Muslim, he isn’t anything except anti-God. In the latter, he will use any and all religions/sects to further his ends.
