Washington - Google is running advertisements to explain the appearance of racist and anti-Semitic material in search results, including a picture which depicts US First Lady Michelle Obama as a monkey.
"Sometimes Google search results from the internet can include disturbing content, even from innocuous queries," the Mountain View, California-based search giant said in an ad signed "The Google Team".
"We assure you that the views expressed by such sites are not in any way endorsed by Google," Google said.
The Google ad appears on a page of image search results for Michelle Obama which includes the offensive depiction of the wife of President Barack Obama.

I remember seeing the photoshopped pic of MO at least a year ago when I did a Google image search--wonder why it's just now 'making the headlines'?
Google not succumbing to pressure and keeping the pic in the archives? Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Covered their bases in mentioning that the word "Jew" brings up
pages and pages and pages and pages of anti-semitic pictures and images!
Notice in the last paragraph the word 'offensive' is used--typical MSM biased reporting, but dangerous as well. Think '1984' censoring of everything not approved by the State...scary stuff.

Yet no words of concern over Bush being portrayed as a monkey, or as Adolf Hitler. And that went on for eight straight years.

I don’t like Google, but who is stupid enough to believe that offensive content of any kind that is retrieved through a Google search originates with Google?
Are we a country of morons as well as sissies?

The pic in question is the one of MO looking like a monkey. It used to come up first in a Google image...now it is gone.
Just checked...

Those who find it offensive to portray a black person as a monkey and not offensive to portray a white person as a monkey
are admitting that they believe that blacks are “less evolved” and are therefore “closer” to monkeys than whites.
Folks, this is an offshoot of what happens when you let darwinism pervade your society.
Another result of it is the “living” Constitution concept instead of a Constitution of fixed laws.

and yet a search of either George Bush, Laura Bush or Sarah Palin yields offensive images on almost every page of results...

Between sucking up to China and now sucking up to Bammy, Google is certainly setting the bar high.

I found this interesting little graphic with a search on Bing.
From what I can tell, the KKK guys are all wearing GOP pins. It's not very good, as the creator is confused about who is "burning the middle class".
I guess if you're a moron (Obama's main constituency) this is emotionally gripping propaganda.
I haven't heard anyone whining about how offensive this one is. I found it on a blog run by a black guy, I believe.
