Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

It's only war with an enemy that wants us all dead.

Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now would we?

One method of protecting military personnel in instances like this is to Court Martial them. Once they are found innocent and released, civilian courts cannot put them on trial again. This has been going on for many years. I wouldn’t worry to much about it but it is worth watching.

I guess the SEALs haven't paid enough in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have no words to describe what I feel.

the administration obviously wants to prosecute CIA operatives that were too mean to men that killed thousands of americans, and now they are doing the same to the military.

. . . and if a SEAL had “roughed up” a prisoner, he would have MUCH more serious problems than a fat lip. hell, he would be lucky to have lips at all.

The three SEALs will be arraigned separately on Dec. 7.

If I recall correctly, the U.S. Navy was attacked once before on December 7.

Of course, TAHT attack was by foreign enemies - THIS one is being perpetrated by enemies within.

I hope and pray that your explanation is the correct one in this case.

December 7th 1979 was the day I graduated from BUD/S Class 105. We’re having our 30th Anniversary party in Las Vegas next week. This is SURE to come up.....

I know this was the case when I was in the Navy. For instance......If a Marine guard at the brig had to shoot an escaping prisoner, the Marine would be Court Martialed, fined .50 cents for the bullet and rewarded with a carton of smokes for doing his duty. This was done to keep the parents of the shot prisoner from bringing a law suit against the Marine. Sounds a little crazy but it worked.

This is what happens when you try to criminalize war and let the lawyers call the shots. We are a completely insanely ran society. These same lawyers wouldn’t lift a finger if they were air dropped on the front lines to do the soldiers job. What a way to cripple our armed forces and make sure they can’t do anything without getting a blessing from the legal counsel. Can you imagine if we fought WW II in this manner?

I’ve emailed my congressman and two worthless senators protesting this, but I’m not expecting much, if anything, from them. This is a travesty!

I think that our military gets this ‘message’ loud and clear. It’s past time for a housecleaning of Biblical proportions. I will actively support and participate in such a scenario.

So much seems to happen every day now
that only a few years ago would have been unthinkable.
I find I am not shocked or amazed by anything anymore.
I fear that I am growing numb to it all.

This is so unspeakably vile that it beggars the imagination. It makes mockery of all that is decent. God speed the Day of Reckoning with these filthy Communist bastards - despite the terrible cost.

I understand they were offered a Captains Mast (Article 15), but they turned it down. My guess is that this will never get to trial.

The SEALS are more than capable of taking care of themselves. They’ll be fine. Also, under UCMJ if you’re on shore duty (for USN), you have the right to demand trial be CM instead of NJP. IMHO this is a wise move on their parts.
