It's only war with an enemy that wants us all dead.
Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now would we?

One method of protecting military personnel in instances like this is to Court Martial them. Once they are found innocent and released, civilian courts cannot put them on trial again. This has been going on for many years. I wouldn’t worry to much about it but it is worth watching.

I guess the SEALs haven't paid enough in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I have no words to describe what I feel.

the administration obviously wants to prosecute CIA operatives that were too mean to men that killed thousands of americans, and now they are doing the same to the military.
. . . and if a SEAL had “roughed up” a prisoner, he would have MUCH more serious problems than a fat lip. hell, he would be lucky to have lips at all.

The three SEALs will be arraigned separately on Dec. 7. If I recall correctly, the U.S. Navy was attacked once before on December 7.
Of course, TAHT attack was by foreign enemies - THIS one is being perpetrated by enemies within.

This is what happens when you try to criminalize war and let the lawyers call the shots. We are a completely insanely ran society. These same lawyers wouldn’t lift a finger if they were air dropped on the front lines to do the soldiers job. What a way to cripple our armed forces and make sure they can’t do anything without getting a blessing from the legal counsel. Can you imagine if we fought WW II in this manner?

I’ve emailed my congressman and two worthless senators protesting this, but I’m not expecting much, if anything, from them. This is a travesty!

I understand they were offered a Captains Mast (Article 15), but they turned it down. My guess is that this will never get to trial.

I pray for strength for these Navy Seals and their families thru their ‘legal’ ordeal. And i do hope that an alleged busted lip is the least of the captured perp’s worries. I also pray that some sense of justice comes to the families and friends of the Blackwater employees who were brutally murdered, dragged thru the streets, set on fire and then hanged from that bridge in Iraq.

I feel like Bill Paxton in Aliens "This can't be hapening, man. This can't be happening".
It was a disgrace what happened to the Marines in Haditha and it is a disgrace what is happening to the SEALs.
This country does not deserve these young men. We are not worthy of them.

I hope they beat these phony-ass charges and join with Glenn's newphew and come home.
I'm wondering if Obama's security guard had the occasion to accost someone to protect him, if he would then turn around and prosecute the security guard?
He's probably be like Rosie O'donnell, who hates guns - and thinks you shouldn't be allowed to have one - but her security detail is all armed.
People who subscribe to these double-standards should catch a boat and go start their own country somewhere else.
