Dem Congressman confirms: ObamaCare Will Require Rationing Healthcare
Fox News Channel | 11/25/09

Posted on 11/25/2009 7:45:39 AM PST by pabianice

Kentucky Dem Congressman John Yarmuth was just interviewed on Fox. He surprised me by confirming that, under Obamacare, all health care will be rationed based upon the government's double secret Quality Life Years scale. When the reporter asked him to repeat that, he continued with, "If you want any procedure not approved by Obama's Health Care Panel of experts (hip replacement, cancer screening, etc.), "you will have to pay for that yourself."

Pretty clear.

“...maybe we should withhold healthcare from ghettos and trailer parks...”

Then Clinton would have no place to troll...

“Quality Life Years...”

Quality Life Years for most of us would go up appreciably if we got rid of Congress...starting with the leader(?)ship

Should necessary hip replacement surgery be provided to a patient that has been diagnosed as terminally ill with only months to live?

Is refusal to grant the hip replacement surgery "rationing" of health care?

Since abortion is on the table....why isn't euthanasia (as elected by a patient who has been diagnosed as terminally ill)??

If the person/family wants to pay for it, it's no one else's business.

What if the cost of the hip replacement is subsidized in large part by the Federal Government??

That makes the case for it NOT to be subsidized by the gov’t.

Liberals view things in this way - we MUST have gov’t cover everything, and therefore, it MUST be the gov’t’s decision whether you get care or not.

And now they’re going to REQUIRE us to be on the gov’t plan, precisely so that they can make these decisions instead of the individual.

WITH duress and threats of taxes, jail time, 250,000 fines, real private employer mandates, employer health taxes, additional legal compliance hours, etc,. “Health Care”, duress and threats.....that’s really good for ones health, mental health, and spiritual health. Call threats and duress healthy for the young people too?

the people who support marxists have got to be the most stupid people in the history of the world. Just remember what any good or service was avialable under the soviets. Food was very cheap, but the shelves were always empty and you had to queue up for hours just to get a small amount of stuff that was not fit to eat.

Health care was at least 30-40 years behind the care available in the west.

Why are these people still in the US - they could go to North Korea or Cuba ***today*** - why continue waiting for your utopia?

The "hypothetical" patient in question is an "elderly" gentleman 66 years of age. The hip replacement procedure is covered under Medicare....an "in place" Federal Govt. subsidized medical insurance program.

So....should the "elderly" gentleman be told "no soap" as to the hip replacement,....or not?

Unfortunate that our hypothetical elderly gentleman is in the situation where he’s dependent on others to pay for his healthcare. Those paying the piper call the tune. If Medicare won’t pay for it, though, under our current system, he or his relatives CAN STILL pay for it out of pocket. Under 0bama care, you cannot.

Now it’s up to us to make sure we aren’t FORCED to accept dependence on another entity, a hostile one at that, for our healthcare.

You got that absolutely right!!

Now....where do we get $300,000,020 from (Landreiu's price for a vote). And, I wonder how much a Lieberman vote goes for these days???

This is why most working Canadians pay supplemental health insurance premiums for coverage of the “not-included”. All you pro-government health care people are living in slumberland.....wake up.

Must've learned that from Dean Wormer.
