A selection of the hacked emails from the Climate Research Unit.
Editor's note: The following are emails we've selected from more than 3,000 emails and documents that were hacked last week from computers at the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit in the United Kingdom. The CRU is the data repository for much of the world's climate research and is a major source for the judgments reached by the U.N.'s climate reports. A nearby editorial ("Global Warming With the Lid Off") puts the emails in their political and scientific context, but readers may want to browse for themselves to get a flavor of the thinking of scientists who are the leading advocates for the belief that global warming is man-made and that nations must re-order the world economy to stop it. We've removed the email addresses and phone numbers, and we've inserted paragraph breaks in some places. The emails are otherwise unedited. The ellipses are the authors' own.

Ping!
This should be the scandal of the century. Bernie Madoff set off a huge firestorm when it was discovered that he fleeced people in the amount of $Billions. These people are preparing to fleece us in the $trillions.
Exactly...The enemedia will do their best to play it down, let’s hope it gets legs.
There is but one thing I can say to all of this:
"May these academicians become the butt-bitches of big gay prison bruisers"
You got that right!!!! LMAO!!!!
The last one is especially interesting.
It would be interesting to read Richard Lindzen's reaction to the emails.
Global Warming is only the tip of the ice berg. Too many people have jobs doing unproductive or actually counter productive work like AGW and community organized. All a drag on the economy.
Is the count up to 3,000 e-mails now? All weekend, I kept reading a figure of 1,000 e-mails. Today, I heard someone say that the data realeased was 62 megabytes, but that there are 100 mb yet to come. Anyone know the story?
Well said! It looks like a con that will go down as the absolute biggest in history, they belong behind bars.
According to the other editorial (Global Warming With the Lid Off) that’s linked in this one it is 3000 now.
Global Warming is real - ON MARS!
As I understand it (and I don't have much technical knowledge!), the release was 62MB in compressed form (zip file?); in expanded form, I've seen various numbers from maybe 120MB to 180MB -- I don't know which is accurate.
1. The recurring theme is the inclusion of data that supports a predetermined outcome.
2. The exclusion of data that does not support the predetermined outcome.
3. There is an attempt to "stack" the peer review boards of journals that do not support the predetermined outcome.
4. You have a clear conspiracy to withhold the raw data from other scientists that want to reproduce the outcome as is basic to all science.
Any of the above four would disqualify a paper from publication in an honestly peer reviewed journal.
5. Also probably criminal conduct and conspiracy to destroy the basic data so it will not be released to the public. Scientists that are sure of their data and theories welcome the scrutiny of other reputable scientists. When the other scientists reproduce their findings it gives credence to the theory. Scientists that will not release the base raw data are trying to cover up bad science or lies.
All five together are an indictment of scientific fraud on a scale never seen before. The key to the fraud is withholding the data and using only "selected" data that fits their model. These men are basically corrupt and not true scientists despite their degrees.
You summed that up precisely as I see it though I couldn’t have put it in words as you did. If there are no criminal charges I would hope they are shunned by the world community of climate scientists.
So, if we could reduce the ocean blip by, say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for the global meanbut we'd still have to explain the land blip. I've chosen 0.15 here deliberately. This still leaves an ocean blip, and i think one needs to have some form of ocean blip to explain the land blip (via either some common forcing, or ocean forcing land, or vice versa, or all of these). When you look at other blips, the land blips are 1.5 to 2 times...

With apologies to Spike Jones, may I suggest this response: "When the Warmers say, "Vee ist derr master race!" We say "Heil, Heil" right in their freakin' face!
