G-Warming Promoter 'Dismayed and Deeply Shaken' by ClimateGate

One of the world's leading promoters of the anthropogenic global warming myth claimed Monday he is convinced the e-mail messages involved in the growing international scandal ClimateGate "are genuine," and he's "dismayed and deeply shaken by them."

So said George Monbiot, a writer and environmental activist many consider to be Great Britain's Al Gore.

But unlike our own AlGore, he appears to be an honest liberal.

"I believe that the minimum outcome of the CRU files is a dramatic increase in transparency in climate science. Which would eventually lead to a permanent end to this AGW scam."

In a sane world, that would be the case. Here, however, we will continue to see the hacker/whistleblower who exposed this maligned and marginalized, if not prosecuted, and the media will work ever so diligently to obscure the scope of the fraud from an already gullible public.

One is reminded of Richard Feynman’s quote when he was investigating the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster:

“[R]eality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled.”

Because Feynman was a real scientist, not a work-for-hire government contractor who reported only the "facts" he was retained to.

Yes, this is a major blow to them.

If you want to get a lib’s goat this week,
say “well, since it’s obvious that driving our SUVs, keeping our houses at 70 degrees year round, and flying airplanes on vacation are not the cause of global warming, I suppose you’ll agree that we shouldn’t try to control these behaviors now?”

“Oh, you still think we should curtail those behaviors? Are you saying that that was the goal all along, and that AGW was just an excuse? Why be dishonest about it? Aren’t your goals worthy enough that you can be honest about them?”
