Obama at White House Today: "I never know what I'm allowed to do."
Monday, November 23, 2009 | Kristinn

For those who believe that Barack Obama is little more than a puppet on a string, Obama gave them strong evidence today.

The AP reports Obama and his wife messed up protocol at a White House event by leaving early from a ceremony where he honored Zimbaweans with the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights award.

A flustered Obama returned shortly and quipped, "I never know what I'm allowed to do."

I can understand a President not knowing all the protocol..but no excuse for those advising him not to educate him on the subject.

What? Messed up protocol? Because he didn’t know?

Well I’ll be... I thought Bush did that just because he was a hillbilly moron?

Yeah, not so easy is it Obama?

You poor confused thing. Here's a suggestion. (Have Michelle pick one up for you if it would make you self-conscious.)

I’m all in favor of him leaving early. He can leave the presidency as early as yesterday, for all I care.

I do not believe that for a moment. All Presidents have a Protocol staff and they are responsible for informing the President and First Lady of the proper things to do and proper ways to behave. IF you are willing to listen to them that is.
