C-SPAN 2 is carrying the Senate floor debate live this afternoon.
The Democrats control the floor right now. Earlier, Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Kit Bond, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter gave good speeches and dialogues on the budget-busting effects of ObamaCare.
Maria Cantwell is speaking now. Mary Landrieu is excpected to speak shortly.
The cloture vote is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST tonight.

Well,, Blanche Lincoln is voting yes, so as far as Lieberman goes, no one cares, his vote doesnt even matter. Reid has his votes. 1776-2009..America, she was a great country
She’s a yes tonight but she’s making it very clear she will not support a public option....that’s good she’s come out that way...that makes 40 pubs, lieberman, and lincoln that would not vote for cloture (end debate) with a public option. Now even if they buy off Snowe by changing it to public option with a trigger I still think they’d be 1 vote short. I think at the end in order for them to get cloture they’ll have to get rid of the public option from this bill.

Lil Blanche is onboard. She must have worked out a very nice golden parachute cause she, with 75% of her constituiants against her voting AYE, will be unemployeed next Nov.

the rats will use the nuclear option to pass it if it clears this hurdle...they are giving cover to the Rats AND Rinos by allowing them to say they “are just allowing it to come up for a vote” but, as usual, it is liberal bullshitter’s double talk; this is THE VOTE...we will not be able to stop them if they just need 50 votes...which they will, if this passes tonight...
