Welcome to the George W. Bush Presidential Center
George W. Bush Presidential Center ^ | November 20, 2009 | George W. Bush Presidential Center

President and Mrs. Bush served our country with honor and dignity and remain committed to improving our nation and the world through the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The Center will be located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, a rising national university in a major metropolitan city in the heartland of America.

The George W. Bush Presidential Center uniquely integrates the records of a national archive, the thematic exhibits of a presidential museum, and the intellectual capital of a research-based policy institute to advance ideas based on the core principles of the Bush Presidency: freedom, opportunity, responsibility and compassion.

The Center will tell the story of a defining period in our country’s history and serve as a platform from which world‑class scholars conduct serious, independent research aimed at generating practical solutions to important public policy problems.

I beg to differ. I enjoy going to Presidential libraries.

What a lovely entrance. I can imagine taking a slow stroll, enjoying the trees, architecture and knowledge that ‘decency’ is treasured in the heart of the man for whom is structure is built.

I miss him.
I miss our country.

Reagan admitted it was a mistake. W had the example of the mistake in front of him and still tried to ram it through Congress.

Because W was bad for the GOP and bad for the country. I don’t want the mistake repeated.

A beautiful structure for a very important library and policy institute. As classy and dignified as the President, whose ideas and goals will be perpetuated through the ongoing policies of liberty and patriotism that he so strongly represented during his eight years in the Oval Office.

(Dr Deb, some folks will never understand this man, nor will accept the honor and integrity that he continued to exhude during his entire Presidency.. It's their loss).

So true, and it is their loss! Fortunately, the President remains focussed on the people and the principles that truly matter.

BTW: I just e-mailed the following videoclip to a friend of mine (at his request) and thought you might enjoy viewing it one more time:

No, President Reagan NEVER “admitted” that signing HIS amnesty bill was a mistake . . . ‘Conservative’ apologists made up that story out of whole cloth a few years ago.

BTW: One would think you’d be so busy helping Ron Paul, et al, either create more ear marks for already bloated pieces of legislation or find additional ways to undermine Israel that you wouldn’t have time to become FR’s most pathetic site pest.

I would quibble with the location of the Bush Center on the SMU campus. He has little historical connection, to the best of my knowledge, to either SMU or Dallas. (Yes, I’m aware that his wife is an SMU alum, but that’s stretching it.) The most appropriate location, IMHO, would be Midland.

Ron Paul is a Kook.

George W. Bush is one of the worst presidents we've ever had.

George W. Bush is one of the worst presidents we've ever had.

Compared to Obama, he comes out smelling like a rose.

Ron Paul is a Kook.

A moonman calling someone else a kook is kind of hypocritical, to say the least.
