The FBI is worried a group linked to al-Qaeda is training up a new generation of terrorists.
They're thought to be targeting young Somali immigrants, radicalising them to carry out attacks on their home country and possibly the US in the future.
The grey high rise flats in Cedar-Riverside, Minneapolis, are clustered together and are home to hundreds of Somali immigrants.
It's not clear why teenagers like these are giving up their comfortable lives in America and returning to their war torn homeland.
But over the past three years, authorities believe 20 young Somali men have gone back to fight in the bitter civil war, which is reported to have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.
Illegal refugees
According to census figures there are 35,000 Somalis living in America but the figure is almost certainly a massive underestimate as many live in the country illegally.
Now an extremist Muslim group, which America calls a terrorist organisation, is trying to gain control.
The US believes al-Shabaab has ties to al-Qaeda. It's a shadowy organisation which is made up of radical Islamists.
The FBI were reluctant to spell out the threat, but they do believe something sinister is happening in the local Somali community.
They're calling it their biggest terror investigation since 9/11.
Agents won't say if mosques or religious leaders are involved but they do think victims are being radicalised in America before being trained as fighters in Somalia.
An 18-year-old Somali man, who refused to give his name, said: "I am very scared and I feel uncomfortable in this country. I just hope the government know what they're doing here and they don't mess with the wrong people."
As for the American people, many of them are scared too. Their biggest fear is another 9/11.

Could we also halt the narcoterrorists killing us every day coming out of Mexico? They’ve killed a lot more Americans than the muzzies have. They have their people in our military and border patrol and recruit in our schools.
The “probe” by the fbi is only another attempt to whitewash the attack. Pay no attention to it,pgkdan. Even a obama voter has the intelligence to know what it was.

Gee, the majority of all those so called “EXPERT” witnesses before Lieberman continue to parrot the accepted PC line that the MAJORITY of Moozies here in the US are “MODERATES,” and many (BS) are “quietly” cooperating with local LEA and the FEEBS, but are “reluctant” to go public with criticism of their fellow radicals out of fear of being stigmatized and ostracized.

Well, let me told ya!
They are brainwashed since birth in the tenets of the Religion of Hate.
The Religion of Hate appeals to their baser instincts. They are told if they eliminate all other than their own they will be rewarded in the after life with the satisfaction of all the baser instincts. The crueler they are in the elimination of others they greater their reward, like 72 virgins for the males and the praises of Allah. I have never understood what the women get out of following the Religion of Hate. Perhaps just a cessation of the degradation they suffer in this life.
Compare that to Christianity and Judaism, and maybe others, I don't know them all. They teach if we devote our lives to worshiping God and loving and serving others, and forgoing our baser instincts, our reward in the after life will be peace and love in the presence of God.
It is much easier to give in to our baser selves than to forgo our natural urges. The problem is that leads to survival of the fittest, the race to the strong. The big ones eating the little ones. Tension and fear are constant.
Following the precepts of most other religions means independence and just reward. The strong assist and care for the weak where it is required and deserved. Love, peace and satisfaction are dominant.
That is just the way it is, folks. The Religion of Hate should be outed for what is is, not tolerated out of fear and ignorance.
