The daughter of Sen. John Kerry has been arrested in Hollywood for allegedly driving drunk. Los Angeles police say 36-year-old Alexandra Kerry was stopped by officers on a Hollywood street at about 12:40 a.m. Thursday and tested for driving under the influence. Officer Bruce Borihanh says she was booked at the Hollywood police station and was held for about five hours. She was released at about 5:30 a.m. after posting $5,000 bail. Borihanh didn't immediately have other details. Alexandra Kerry is the eldest daughter of the Massachusetts senator and 2004 Democratic presidential candidate. She has produced documentaries and has had several small acting roles.
Didn’t she serve in Vietnam?
Wasn’t she a war hero?
This swiftboating never ends....
That photo displays such a load of poor judgment, fashion sense ... EVERY woman knows you never wear white undies beneath a black dress or skirt!
Did she do the same as Gore’s kid did when he got busted (again) for DUI, pull the “Don’t you know who I am?” outrage?
If John Kerry were my father, I might be a drunk too....
Why don’t these irresponsible rich kids of “looking out for the working class” rich lefty politicians do the right thing and hire a true working class chauffer?
The officer did not like his lane change ( the officer was within his right ), the judge threw it out.
It still cost us 6 months and 4 grand in attorney and state fees to beat it.
People do not realize there is a difference between DUI and DWI /OWI.
At any time you can get a DUI, the car is impounded, bail is set, interlock fees or cabs / buses. The whole thing is a damn mess plus the embarrassment factor.
You can’t make this stuff up...
The Last Full Measure is a 2004 short film written and directed by Alexandra Kerry, daughter of U.S. Democratic Senator John Kerry. Set in 1973, during the Vietnam War, it explores the emotions of a nine-year-old girl awaiting her father’s return from the war.

I’m glad no one was hurt and I fully understand how a child of Herman’s could turn to drugs and alcohol in order to cope.
That seems to be the case. I believe the reasoning is that people respond differently. Furthermore, the officer only knows the BAC at that instant. He doesn't know if the BAC is moving up or down. If a few minutes before being stopped, the driver had a "double for the road" not enough time had passed for it to register in the BAC.
My understanding is a DUI conviction for having a BAC less than the legal limit is considerably more difficult because the person can claim fatigue, distraction, etc as reason for the "unsafe" driving rather than being drunk.
Who is suprised?
How can one exist in THAT family sober?
Wasn’t she the one that worse the see through dress for attention?
Any word on how many times the MA Liberal battle cry of “DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!?!” was uttered?
Motorboat? Nah....
I can remember when this used to be a free country, but that speaks to my advanced age. The power that the state assumes over its citizens is outrageous. Driving infractions should be treated as driving infractions without regard for assumed causes. Talking on a phone, praying to your God, beating the kid in the backseat, and having an extra glass of wine at dinner— what difference does it make? If you can do one or all simultaneous with driving in a safe manner, it’s nobody’s business but yours.
