I read it the same way you did. You could say he raised the possibility that he may not win, but I didn't see any indication that he might not run.

Don’t think so. Michelle will not let him. As for himself, it’s a good decision from his point of view. He already has a Nobel Prize, introduced long-last Marxist policies, seen as a saint by many people, etc. The only one he doesn’t have (yet) is UN General Secretary. He knows to have it, he has to give up the presidency...

He’ll even turn his back on the people that supported him. He’ll take his retirement and run, leaving his supporters to fend for themselves. That should piss off the voters.

He won’t need to run in 2012. He’ll be Supreme Emperor by then.

He’s got golfing and Wednesday night parties to worry about and they keep bugging him with that Afghanistan thing. They need to give the guy a break.

Up to this point in his sheltered life, Ozero has NEVER had to face criticism.

He is at a loss how to deal with it so already is reflecting on getting out of the game. Poor soul.

He’ll just appoint himself dictator. Then he won’t have to run.

It's hard to run for office when you're hiding in the Brazilian embassy. By the way, how is Honduran ex-presidente Zelaya holding up?

Won’t need an election if they suspend the constitution.

They love making little jokes like this...like saying "I may not run again..." knowing they will crash our system into the ground and seize control. They're lawyers after all...

I there is a secretary of state or two that will require him to provide proof of eligibility and he can’t provide it, he would be much better off simply not running.

He may not run in '12, but that doesn't mean he won't be a yapping ankle-biter like ALL dimwit-ocratic ex-pres--ents.

Too bad he doesn't have an ounce of grace in his worthless soul to retire like a statesman and have a tall cool glass of STFU.

Because Obama always tells the truth.

He might not run in 2012 because tyrannical dictators don’t usually have elections.

It’s because he’ll stage a coup before then.

Of course, if he thinks he is going to lose, his ego won’t let him run again. Rememeber he said he does not come in second?!

At best, he’s lying.

At worst, he’s looking to be leader of the world.

Community organizer, turned Senator, turned President.

He’s always looking to move on up.

OK, we know he’s lying, but it still reminds me of this scene in “Dumb & Dumber”:

Lloyd: What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?

Mary: Well, Lloyd, that’s difficult to say. I mean, we don’t really...

Lloyd: Hit me with it! Just give it to me straight! I came a long way just to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?

Mary: Not good.

Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?

Mary: I’d say more like one out of a million.
[pause]

Lloyd: So you’re telling me there’s a chance... *YEAH!*
