Vatican Backs Obama’s Global Agenda
AIM ^ | 11/18 | Cliff Kincaid

Some pro-life Catholics reacted with shock to the news that the Vatican warmly greeted the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama, who is pro-abortion. They don't seem to understand that the Vatican and Obama agree on most major international issues. This is the untold story-how Obama and the Vatican accept major ingredients of what has been called a New World Order.

Another untold story is how, despite a disagreement over abortion, the U.S. Catholic Bishops and the Obama Administration agree on major aspects of so-called health care reform.

These topics are mostly taboo in the liberal and conservative media. Liberal and conservative Catholics alike would prefer not to discuss how the Catholic Church, here and abroad, functions like a liberal/left-wing political lobby.

But the facts should not be much of a surprise. A majority of Catholics voted for Obama, despite the fact that his pro-abortion record was well known, and when he was honored at Notre Dame, the premier Catholic University in the U.S., only about one-third of U.S. Catholic Bishops publicly objected.

The Nobel Committee's

This is simply an anti-Catholic article disguised as “news”.

The Church has throughout history sided with royalty to oppress the people.

Why didn’t he cite any evidence to support his claims?

Really suspect.

This sounds like a subplot from a Tim LaHaye/Jerry Jenkins novel.

"The American Conference of Catholic Bishops' web site reads like it was written by Marx and Lenin"

This is because these modern, pseudo-intellectuals cannot differentiate between church and state. Ironic, really, as Obama is diametrically opposed to most Catholic mores--marriage between one man and one woman (I know he gives lip svc., but is with the gay rights crowd); sanctity of life; living according to God's directives in the Bible. The libs led by O want to do away with Christianity outside the walls of the church--just like old Russia.

Obama and the Catholic Church want to "take care of the little people--the needy ones. The Bible tells us to care for the widows and children; it also says everyone should work for their rewards. The church cannot see the difference between a directive to the church from God and the nanny state.

What a sorry state of affairs--and scarey!

As a practicing Catholic, this article has a distinct foul aroma to it. My B.S. Meter is pinging off the wall.

"Another untold story is how, despite a disagreement over abortion, the U.S. Catholic Bishops and the Obama Administration agree on major aspects of so-called health care reform."

No, the untold story is that the National Conference of Catholic Bishops is not comprised of bishops at all, but only teams of bureauocrats who supposedly represent the bishops. But the bishops do not like what the NCCB members have said about Obama's health care and have called a special meeting of BISHOPS to discuss what the NCCB have said. Apparently, many of the Bishops reject Obama's health plan outright. But ALL of them reject any health care bill that would allow for the public funding of abortion. I believe the Catholic Church has been the most outspoken group AGAINST Obamacare.

Better to know what is being said so people can discuss it and bring it to the attention of their Parish Priest if they should so choose.

I'm supposed to tell my parish priest that Cliff Kincaid is an idiot?

I bet he already knows.

"The Church has throughout history sided with royalty to oppress the people."

And you learned this nonsense from what anti-Catholic pulpit? Or did you learn it from whimsical novels like the 'DaVinci Code'? Or was it learned from the trustworthy media? Perhaps from the revisionist, anti-Catholic history books that permeate the earth? Or was it on PBS television? Maybe the BBC aired a "special" you saw? It's odd though, many on these threads condemn the Church for being too much in favor of the 'common' people. But the Church has been attacked, maligned and bloodied from day one, it will never change because Satan never rests.
