"Not sure what is really driving the anti-Palin mania..."

Here, let me clear that up for you.

The Liberal attack mutts know what seems to have eluded many conservatives, yourself included if you meant what I quoted up above.

They understand that Sarah Palin is the only Republican who can unseat Maobama in 2012, and they know they must destroy her or lose the Whole Enchilada.

Nothing could be more obvious.

To paraphrase Dennis Miller: I like Sarah Palin because she pisses off all the right people.

I hate to say this but I am hearing a lot of negative comments about Sarah from independants that I know. They profess to dislike Democrats but the view that they have on Sarah has been shaped by the media portrayal of her. To put the point bluntly, they seem to think that Sarah is a not too bright, bible thumping, extremist. I do not subscribe to that view at all. I think Sarah is quite clever and that her values are in line with mine. I am finding it quite disconcerting however, to see how effective the campaign to damage her has been.

Wonder who started the accusation that Sarah is a 'bible thumper'? I cannot recall her ever quoting one Scripture. And the 'not' to bright accusation sure demonstrates they are blinded by the glare off BamaKennedy's TelePrompter. And it is so very extreme to hear anyone in or out of elected office to be saying 'Drill baby Drill' as people drive around in tuna cans.

Why you are not describing 'independent' free thinking peoples, you are describing wetted finger wind checkers.

My explanation for part of her appeal: Sarah is honest and the rest of them aren’t.

I wish someone would say to these liberals “You do realize that if you destroy Palin first she won’t be able to destroy the republican party like you hope she will.”

Bottom line is McCain and the rest think of themselves as royalty. Palin is one of us.

Because she’s normal, and she stands up for normal, traditional American values; that’s a BIG no-no in these days when America’s soi-disant intellectuals - and a great many poseurs - all hate America and Americanism.

The vicious attacks of the left have done only one thing to Sarah Palin: they’ve inoculated her!

The more they attack her, the more support she’ll get.

Confucius said: “A superior man is one where only the good like and admire him—the evil ones hate and fear him”. Very wise indeed....have to write that down. Thanks

...Sarah is quite clever...

There is no question she is polarizing but hey, her message will either resonate with people, after they listen to her, or not. After a few more weeks of the crap we are being forced into, those independents that you speak of may have an about face.

I like Sarah for various reasons.
Yes, the “right people” hate her (see 2 Cor 2:14-15).

And secondly, she IS bright, but without the

liberal/leftists’ NEED TO APPEAR TO BE THE SMARTEST IN THE ROOM.

That’s right. Sarah is a Rorschach test for the left.

She makes them diagnose their own idiocies, and they don’t like the results.

She’s the clarion call to come to the bright side.

Obama's interviewers seemed like they were more interested in dating him than they were in getting answers to questions.

As recounted brilliantly in Bernard Goldberg's book.

I am finding it quite disconcerting however, to see how effective the campaign to damage her has been.

That's because she hasn't yet had the chance to answer her critics. Give her time.

I saw the Palin Newsweek cover today & it suddenly hit me like a brick how SIGNIFICANT an act it was on the part of the liberal media. It was the desperate salvo of an official declaration of war. I had NO IDEA the libs were so very frightened of her.

Perhaps it’s already obvious to the politically savvy on FR, but I was surprised that no one actually commented on the true import of that cover—but you have said it here on this thread quite succinctly.

I didn’t realize that the libs are very worried that Palin could unseat Obama in ‘12. After a miserable year with BO and three to go, that is exciting news!

Palin is a threat because she symbolizes decency in a country that has been taken hostage by moral degenerates.

Well said, Mr. Weir.

I bought that book, I had to just for the cover alone! LOL!

It was a fun read, only 172 pages, but a masterpiece in it’s own way. :)
