Russia to boost naval presence: Medvedev

Russia is to build up its navy over the coming decade, President Dmitry Medvedev announced on Monday, as he visited a Russian guided missile cruiser in Singapore. Speaking to sailors on board the Russian Pacific Fleet's Varyag, Medvedev said around half of Russia's military hardware would have to be renewed by 2020.

"Yes, an expansion of our naval presence is planned. Russia can only consider itself a full naval power if it has a full fleet that carries out training and combat tasks," he said, according to official Russian news agencies.

The Varyag, built in the 1980s under the Soviet Union, is on a week-long port call in Singapore in what Russian officials have described as further proof of the Russian navy's ability to deal with piracy in the region.

It left its home port of Vladivostok earlier this month for the call in Singapore. Medvedev's visit to the ship rounded off his trip to the island, the first ever by a Russian president.

Russia is carrying out a far-reaching reform of its armed forces -- vehemently opposed in some quarters of the military -- in a bid to make its forces more suited to the demands of modern warfare.

The government is hoping that much of its ageing Soviet-era military hardware will be renewed.

By 2020 the main branches of the armed forces "must be rearmed by 30-50 percent and in some -- I will not specify -- 80-90 percent", Medvedev said.

"The task must be fulfilled otherwise we will be unable to say that we have an effective army and navy," he said, describing the current situation with procurement as "not ideal" but better than in the 1990s.

Why do we go along with the racket whereby OPEC rig the oil and gas prices to rip us off, and the the Russians use the money to rearm and threaten us, and the Saudis use the money for world wide Islaamic revolution?

Whey don’t we just take the Saudi Peninsular, evict the population (send them all to Palestine or Afghanistan), and declare the the oil and gas a resource for free democratic Nations.

The bottoms are literally rusting out of the Russian Navy and that is why Medvedev has said that up to 90% of some forces must be replaced by 2020. The reason the force must be replaced is that Russia doesn't have much money. It has no way of getting money apart from the export of commodities, principally petroleum.

To make sure that the Russians have the money they need in order to rebuild their armed forces so they can make treaties with Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, and Brazil to the detriment of American interests, Obama frustrates all attempts at domestic drilling thus ensuring that the price of oil will climb and maintain its price.

This policy has added advantages for Obama, it further weakens the American dollar as we are increasingly forced to buy oil abroad and makes us even more vulnerable to potential enemies such as China. This policy is what they call in New York, a twofer.

He’s a Communist.

It’s that simple.

If you were raised for 8 years, from the age of 10 to 18, by a card carrying bi-sexual radical AA Communist from Chicago with a 601 page FBI file, what kind of Community Organizer would you be?

One who prefers “Marxist professors”, so that you wouldn’t be a “sell-out”???

Is it any wonder no college records have been released, or ever will be?

HIs first pol, to whom he was “chief of staff”, flew often to Moscow for the Communist Party Congress and came back praising the Soviet Union. He didn’t quit and he didn’t protest.

When he cheated her by getting her kicked off the re-election ballot (using legalistic tricks, just like he does now), SHE never protested, nor would accept any interviews.

Can you say “Party Discipline???

I mean, his mother met his “father’ while studying Russian for God’s sakes -— in 1959!!!

Have you never read in a history book that the Russians look for future agents in Russian Language classes? Of course! Where else to look?

Please read this, and tell everyone:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/13267412/The-Kenyan-Candidate-Obama-SetUp-Known-in-Moscow-in-1991-the-First-Time-I-Heard-of-Barack

Then ask yourself, and everyone around you:

Why do the President’s two daughters both have Russian names???

Ever met any African-American who has two children, both with Russian names???

Ever met ANYONE who has two children, both with Russian names???

I haven’t.

Mmmm mmmmm mmmmmm.

The West needs to put a gun to the Saudis head and get the oil price dropped. Finish Russia off this time, and absorb the remnants into the EU. Put Putin on trial for War Crimes in Chechniya etc.

Read Stanislav Lunev’s “Through the Eyes of the Enemy” and Anatoliy Golitsyn’s “the Perestroka Deception”.

There is a reason that Obama does NOT like to see Putin, Gorbachev, or Zuganiov. They all have access to Obama’s KGB/FSB file.

Yeah, but what sort of hell are we going to go through to get there? And, remember that Russia and China are allies at this moment, something that did not happen during CW1. Finally, we don’t have a strong leader at this moment (weaker than Carter).
