Pelosi switches to jobs (great, just great)
The Hill ^ | 11/16/2009 | Mike Soraghan

House Democratic leaders, worried they’ve appeared unresponsive to rising unemployment because they were absorbed by healthcare, are aiming for a legislation solution by Christmas.

That focus follows a similar shift in the Senate, where Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told colleagues he also plans to bring up a jobs measure, The Hill reported first last week.

The House change began Monday night when leaders scheduled AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and Robert Kuttner, co-editor of The American Prospect, to address the House Democratic Caucus.

And it could end with an economic package on the floor sometime in December, Democratic sources said.

But some leadership aides cautioned that leaders are still debating whether to do one large package or a series of smaller bills.

And they say the Obama administration has yet to get on board.

One way or another, aides say, House Democrats’ message from now to Christmas will be about jobs.

If they do for jobs what they are trying to do for health care, I predict 60% unemployment within the next 12 months.

“OK everybody, we’ve been doing a really good job of preparing to f*** up the health care sector, now let’s all turn our attention to the economy and really f** it up too.”

The more these idiots meddle in the job market with overlapping regulations designed to strangle private industry, the closer we get to a Soviet-style wait-10-hours-for-one-onion economy. Luckily we have the GOP which will filibuster for 2 onions.

aiming for a legislation solution

You have got to be kidding. So they're going to pass legislation to create jobs?

These people are clueless as to reality. That's all there is too it.

LOL. The Dems big government spending has been a job killer. We may never see 5% unemployment again (unless they once again revise how it is calculated).

I’m REALLY forward to the day when she’s no longer speaker. Her face is a train wreck, so is her leadership.

To be fair, a legislated TAX CUT would encourage job growth...

Unfortunately, the Dems will probably figure that a tax increase will be the solution. It’s the solution to all the problems they see.

That’s true...perhaps I’m wrong to call them clueless. They may known exactly what they are doing.

My suggestion - cut taxes, cut the Federal payroll in half, and force Congress to take a five-year vacation.

Mengele Pelosi would be wise to start brushing up on her resume and hiding her corruption.

Note to idiots in Washington, D.C.:

The cure is permanent, immediate, across-the-board, substantial tax cuts.

Also, take this health care crap and cap and trade off the table and don't bring it back.

If she wants to do something constructive, she could resign. That might actually help produce jobs.

But, but, but....I thought the porkulus was going to create a gazillion jobs? Instead, we’re losing workers by 500,000 a month and it’s getting worse. Please! No more help! Hey Pelosi, does 10.2% ring a bell?

This administration, ‘cut taxes’ is a foreign language. Term limits, with two weeks, 2 times a year sessions, remove all bennies. Also, 5 year expiration dates on every bill, revote on the bills.

Expect a 6000 page bill that amounts to the socialization and unionization of every job in America. Every job will have a single payer.
