Empty Hardin (MT) jail still drawing headlines

The Two Rivers Detention Facility in Hardin is still making national headlines as Sunday's CBS Evening News featured the controversial multi-million dollar jail that has sat empty since it was built. (cut) But, President Obama has yet to decide where the Guantanamo detainees will go and the folks in Hardin say "bring 'em on".

Back in the news thanks to CBS and Ill Gov Pat Quinn. All officials in MT appear to oppose this except for those in Hardin.

I hope they send them to IL. There was a posting about it recently -- IL built a max-security prison and it's empty except for a small number of minimum-security inmates.

And then, something will happen. It's just too big a target. Obama will take the blame.

In the long run, it won't make a bit of difference in a blue state like IL. But, it will really be funny to see him being perceived as screwing over his home state.
