Officials: Major Hasan Sought 'War Crimes' Prosecution of U.S. Soldiers

Major Nidal Malik Hasan's military superiors repeatedly ignored or rebuffed his efforts to open criminal prosecutions of soldiers he claimed had confessed to "war crimes" during psychiatric counseling, according to investigative reports circulated among federal law enforcement officials.

On Nov. 4, the day after his last attempt to raise the issue, he took extra target practice at Stan's shooting range in nearby Florence, Texas and then closed a safe deposit box he had at a Bank of America branch in Killeen, according to the reports. A bank employee told investigators Hasan appeared nervous and said, "You'll never see me again."

A corporate spokesperson contacted by ABC News had no comment.

Investigators believe Hasan's frustration over the failure of the Army to pursue what he regarded as criminal acts by U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan may have helped to trigger the shootings.

"The Army may not want to admit it, and you may not hear much about it, but it was very big for him," said one of the federal investigators on the task force collecting evidence of the crime.

His last effort to get the attention of military investigators came on Nov. 2, three days before his alleged shooting spree, according to the reports.

Colonel Anthony Febbo at Fort Hood reportedly told investigators he was twice contacted by Hasan, on Nov. 2 and a week earlier in October, about the question of whether he could legally provide information on "war crimes" he had learned in the course of psychiatric counseling he provided soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

So let me guess, ABC and the MSM will see the scandal is that this Islamic nutcase wasn't heeded in his desire to prosecute his own patients, not that the people this pig made this demand to didn't see that as yet another red flag that this Muslim creep wasn't in any way with the country and its war efforts. That the man thought it was appropriate to violate patient confidentiality shows he wasn't playing with anything close to a full deck.

Did Hasan have a role in this in the White House?
Is this the reason of the coverup by Obama?

What is clear is:
Hasan and Obama and Holder are SOA
against the people of the United States of America
and the Constitution of the USA.

He was playing with a full deck. He was a muslim demanding free education, good paying job, affirmative action education and career, major arse kissing because he was a muslim, he wanted to prosecute american soldiers and on and on.

This is do to political correctness and crises of racism. We are heading down the same path as the europeans. All funded by Saudi money for attorneys to protect and advance Islamic facism.

Not sure why he went took matters into his own hands when his feelings are shared by the President of the United States who intends to do things this guy would really like.

Not to mention that what his soldier patients may have discussed in therapy were HIS interpretation of war crimes, quite apart from what would constitute prosecutable war crimes. To Hasan, a soldier’s killing ANY Muslim would be a ‘war crime.’

Well, perhaps an analyst can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it is a major violation of professional principles for a psychiatrist to leak information told to him by a patient in confidence. Much like a priest violating the confessional.

IF a crime has been committed—a very big IF—then a priest can advise the person confessing to him that he cannot absolve him unless he makes reparation. But he certainly can’t go running to the authorities blabbing about what he was told in confidence.

That’s aside from the fact that this guy considered that simply being over there in Iraq or Afghanistan was a crime against Islam.

It sounds as if he got his ideas from Murtha, Obama, and the New York Times as well as from his former Imam in Virginia.

Good point Ed...indeed I’m sure he felt anyone fighting in “Muslim lands” was a war criminal even if they had never killed or hurt anyone.

I think he’ll get off, too. They’ll probably let him off on insanity (although if he was crazy, there’s millions of other Muslims with the same syndrome...let’s get boxcar loads of thorazine for them all).

However, this might give the press a juicy hook for their stories. I can see it tomorrow, headlines about on the poor abused Muslim having to listen to these ghastly Americans.

He is just like Eric Holder: he would hound, persecute and bankrupt patriotic American heroes.

Oh my sainted aunt, so now he's a "hero" because he tried to "expose" US soldiers and the military leadership ignored him???!!! Has ABC no shame?

This is significant in many ways, including what a HUGE red flag this is.

Such total lack of professional boundries is absolutely unacceptable in any medical practitioner but perhaps, especially, for a psychiatrist.

Not only should this have been addressed in his training and professional reviews, it should have led to his ejection from training and -likely- loss of medical license.

Question: In those trials awhile back and pending now, where some of our troops were arrested for war crimes such as murder, rape, etc. were they prosecuted in a civil court or military court? If not civil with a jury, why not? If the enemy who is not even an American citizen gets a jury, why not real Americans?

So much for proper protocol. Oh wait we are talking about o-bow-man, I suppose that does not extend to the country he was elected to serve. He bow to his slave masters and screws the American people. Nothing but a phony, Godless POS.

Oh no he won't. That's about the only thing we can be sure of — he won't walk again.

I've been following this and just posted about it on another thread. I can see where learning about “conduct unbecoming” or “criminal behavior” confessed during rehab might be very, very hard for him to bear as a Muslim. It might make me want to go after the person who confessed to it, but it wouldn't make me want to shoot other people and health care workers who haven't committed “war crimes”.

Nope. Dr. Hasan will have to either look at his condition as a glass half full or half empty situation. I'm fairly certain he won't be practicing medicine for the next year and will be somewhat limited in getting around. In about a year, give or take a few months, after a lethal injection, his inability to “walk” won't be the issue it is today, nor will the “confessions of patients with PTSD”.

We've gone from name calling, to confessed war crimes, to not wanting to go and kill fellow Muslims in Afghanistan to heaven knows what. The bottom line is none of the people who were buried this past weekend are responsible for any of his angst, least of all the fetus of the young soldier or the police woman he shot. There is absolutely no justification for what he did.

Bingo! We are going to find that this Hasan guy was the darling of the left and Obama. They knew exactly who he was and he was used as a ‘source’ for their 8 year anti-america campaign against the wars. That is why they don’t want the congress looking into this and why Obama wants him tried in a military tribunal. Obama doesn’t want to be on trial himself..yet he plans on using the terrorist trials in NY to put the Bush Administration on trial. There are no accidents.

No doubt that the Code Pinko website was on his list. I’d love to know which people in the media already knew Hasan and used him as ‘confidential source’ material for their anti-war campaign.
