Police now searching for body of missing NC girl

SANFORD, N.C. — Authorities in North Carolina say they are now searching for the body of a missing 5-year-old girl.

Fayetteville Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance said Monday officers are searching along a central North Carolina highway based on "reliable information" that indicated the body of Shaniya Davis may have been dumped there.

About 200 searchers fanned across several miles southeast of Sanford. Some walked along roads, ravines and fields while others drove on four-wheelers.

Davis has been missing since Nov. 10. Her mother, 25-year-old Antoinette Davis, has been charged with human trafficking and felony child abuse. Police have also charged 29-year old Mario Andrette McNeill, who was seen in surveillance footage carrying Shaniya at a Sanford hotel.

I know lots of people who could never have children who would of made loving parents to a child of any race. Then there are those who are blessed with beautiful children and abuse them. There is the old expression, about casting pearls before swine. Heaven can reach down and try to bless some people but they are lost within their own darkness.

The child's 'mother' sold her to that piece of crap (above) for sex. He is carrying her to his room at a hotel about 40 miles from her home in that photo above.

Shaniya's mother, Antoinette Davis, 25, has been charged with human trafficking and felony child abuse, police said. Police also filed kidnapping charges against 29-year old Mario Andrette McNeill, who was seen in surveillance footage carrying Shaniya at a Sanford hotel.

Shaniya's father, Bradley Lockhart, said he raised his daughter for several years but last month decided to let her stay with her mother. He has pleaded for her safe return.

"I should've never let her go over there," he told The Associated Press on Saturday.

Her father raised her for 3 years or so b/c the mother was not capable, then inexplicably turned her back over to the “mother” b/c she had “turned her life around.” That did not go well.

Poor girl deserved better. If her father could not or did not want to raise her, there are many people who would have adopted such an adorable girl.

Shaniya Davis Search: New Fayetteville police advisory, have you seen this man or vehicle?

Advisory fits this description:

Age: 60-years-old

Vehicle: Blue Toyota (according to an official of the Highway patrol)

The unidentified man may be located in the area of Raeford Road and Cliffdale Road.

Shaniya Davis is 5-years-old, 3 feet tall, 40 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, thin with a scar on her foot. She was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and pink underwear last Tuesday.

“Reliable information” has been offered that led authorities to Walker Road near N.C. 87. What they are searching for is Shaniya’s body since she was said to have been “dumped” at that location. This location in Lee County is used by hunters. This is a very thick leafy area with patches of woods.

Mario McNeill, 29, has not been willing with all the information. However, has supplied the police with some. Mario McNeill has been arrested on first-degree kidnapping charges, he admitted to abducting Shaniya Davis. However, the mother of Shaniya Davis, Antoinette Nicole Davis, told police officers that she placed her daughter on a couch at 5:30 a.m. but when she checked on her, Shaniya was gone. Antoinette Davis was arrested days later for human trafficking, felony child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report amongst interfering with a police investigation. Both face bail set for $51,000.

Clarence Coe was charged one day, released the next. His name has been cleared of any involvement.

As approximately 250 people search along roadside, many remain on the look out for Shaniya in case she is not found. However, you can help the search if you are within the vicinity. I don’t even know the legal circumstances, but even if the dad had joint custody, it would only take a matter of minutes for a depraved mother to sell her child to a pedophile. Just sickening.
