RIP.

I liked Equalizer. Of course, for some reason, I thought this guy died years ago.

I loved that show. Wasn’t he also Sandra Bullock’s coach in Miss Congeniality?

Prayers for your family and many thanks for the entertainment.

As a PPK aficionado myself, it was good to see one in Equalizer.

Shame, I liked the show simply because it was so politically incorrect, and I often wondered why a Jaguar in NYC...

RIP. I always liked that show. Most of the remakes do not hold up well.

Sergeant Howie: The Wicker Man. Where I first noticed his presence and unquestioned talent.

Breaker Morant: The film that put him and Bryan Brown on the map.

Robert McCall, The Equalizer: A role that he owned opposite ‘Control’ Robert Lansing and Mickey Kostemeyer.

Would have made a superb George Smiley if Sir Alec Guiness hadn’t jumped at the offer.

The world will be less colorful with Mr. Woodward’s passing.

Jack.

Aww, dangit. I always liked him, whatever the role. RIP.

BTW, for those who’ve never seen the original Wicker Man, it’s definitely worth checking out. Edward Woodward’s performance is so far superior to Nicolas Cage’s (in the remake), it’s like night and day.

Before we pass to heaven,
And toast: “The trim-set petticoat
We leave behind in Devon.”
