Federal Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff vowed Friday night to attack the policies of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, saying the Conservative leader's four years in power gives him lots of political ammunition.
....
Ignatieff said U.S. President Barack Obama is spending six times more per capita on clean energy than Canada.
The Conservatives are spending less per capita on renewable energy than Alaska, he said.
"You know who comes from Alaska, don't you," said Ignatieff, drawing a laugh. "So when it comes to clean energy, Stephen Harper isn't just behind Barack Obama, he's behind Sarah Palin."

I wish Harper, or anyone, would come out with the truth about "global warming" and Canada. The truth is that, if 30 million carbon using Canadians disappeared tomorrow, global climate would not change a wit. If the earth does get warmer, it would be a boon to Canada. We could bring huge areas under cultivation, the growing season would be longer, and we wouldn't use as much energy.
As things are right now, Canada has to use a lot of energy to heat and cool our homes and to produce and move goods that an industrial society needs. Wind and solar will not make it here.
Geesh the Liberals are a desperate lot. I suppose the closer Harper gets to a majority, the more Loony he will get.
Obama is throwing away our money at inferior-but-politically-correct energy sources. That Canada isn’t following our lead into foolishness I would call a plus.
Harper for president!
Read over the latest comments coming out of Ignatiff or Flipper as I like to call him and what you find is nothing of substance. It’s all rhetoric of no substance or talk for the sake of saying something. You’ll also notice that he’s Johnny on the spot for the critique of how everyone else is doing but never offers one suggestion of what he or his party would do were it in their power.
I like the name Bourque.com uses for him.....Iffy.
