Personally I think he deserves more time for using our NG during Katrina to move his goods while people were in true danger.

Somehow that ended up being Bush’s fault.

He’ll be Hussein’s first pardon.

Probably the first of many left wingers in the big house to get a pardon.

Federal inmates must serve their whole sentence, except that they earn a “good time” of 54 days reduction in sentence for every full year served with no disciplinary findings.

So, if a person is sentenced to 45 months, his sentence will be reduced to a little over 43 months after he completed his first year trouble free, to 41 months after his second year, and to 39 months (plus about 18 days) after his third year.

No good time is earned for a partial year, and any disciplinary punishment costs you your whole years good time.

Jefferson is the reason why we should have term limits.

And criminal misuse of firearms is why we should have gun control.

Sorry, but no.

Misuse of franchise isn't a reason we should remove it from all. It's the best way to say to a politician, "no matter what you do, you are wholly separated from your constituency." And it begs the question: "If you don't trust the voters on the candidates last term, why could you trust them for the previous term? Or the one before that?" and then, "Why trust them at all?"

Those who voted for him should get mandatory community service.

While the media was maligning GWB this POS was commandeering helicopters to assist his inspection of his property while the citizenry begged for relief.

Did you know that Jefferson started out as an aide to the hugely popular Louisiana Sen. J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., now a big-money lobbyist. Johnston was once voted the “biggest spender” in Congress, 1984, the year he ran with virtually no opposition.

Geez, I’ve been thinking it was Clintoon who pardoned the FALN terrorists and Mark Rich...

He was Deputy Attorney General under Clinton and was the man Jack Quinn (attny for Rich)went to as a go-between. Holder gave Clinton a "neutral, leaning towards favorable" opinion of the pardon and was instrumental in the outcome.

In Detroit, the first sentence in the Sludge Hauling Bribery scandal that brought Monica Conyers down was handed down today. Rafer Jackson, who bribed Mrs. Conyers, was given a 60 month sentence. His attorney asked for 18 months but the Judge, who said he loved this city and his father before him, threw the book at him and sentenced him to the maximum. Monica could get twice that much according to local attorneys in the know.

Obama will let him serve time equal to Scooter Libby, then commute the sentence.

Any bets?
