Doesn’t look seaworthy, looks topheavy

I wonder why the engineers didn't notice that. It's clearly doomed.

No doubt she’ll soon be appearing in a made for TV disaster movie.

Hard economy to launch in.

Crusing never appealed to me but it does to many and more power to them.

Back in my way out there days, we would see cruise ships out at sea and they looked like floating cities with all the lights.

this one would look like floating Manahattan

Say what you will. I’m planning on a late 2010 sailing on her.

I’ll be on the Liberty of the Seas in three weeks and 2 days.

I'm looking at maybe early 2011 on the Oasis or her sister ship the Allure, which is still under construction.

My fellow Norwegian marine architects, I have solved that problem by equipping this here vessel with a 300-ft deep X 600-ft long, heavily lead-ballasted centerboard. (15,000 metric tons) Stationed unobtrusively amidships, a Norwegian crew of 350 stout lads and lasses (diversity rules: 1/2 from Oslo, 1/2 from Bergen + 10 interpreters) continually trim the board with the aid of thick, woven leather pendants and oxen-driven winches.

Uff-dah, baby!

The passengers don't feel a thing

My folks did England-NYC on the Queen Mary in the 60's.My Mom loved it but my Dad said that he was bored to tears after about 24 hours.I've never done a cruise and probably never will.

Remember the Vasa?

It does look top-heavy, the portholes are low.

If Mankind were meant to ride around in boats, He would have given us gills! What is wrong with this crazy world with “boats” and “planes” and weapons and fear? (/s)

I note the lifeboats in the second photo. I sure hope they can handle 6300+ as well.
