Romenesko:
Joe Conason believes Lou Dobbs has ambitions to run for president, and "could mount a formidable campaign drawing upon the same resentful remnant that Republicans hope to mobilize in 2012. Except that he probably won't be running as a Republican."

Ping.
Dobbs (D)?..................
Hip Hip Hurrah for the Angry White Rich Guy party!
Dobbs’ rather enigmatic sign-off comments sure don’t rule this out...
I like Lou. He listens to us. I don’t know if he can muster the votes, but he seems like an O.K. guy. I don’t know too much about him though. If anyone out there doesn’t like him, let me know why. I would like to know.
A vote splitting sucker punch.
This is no different when the big country clubbers sucker us with Thompson, Huckabee, kook paul, and everyone else.
The only way Dobbs becomes viable is as palin’s vp on a republican ticket.
Otherwise we end up with scuzzyfazza as our nominee.
Obama ran as a joke candidate.....look what happened.
I think I’ll run for president in 2012.
Yep, and we're only 10 months in to the 4 year punchline.
He seems sane enough. That’s why he won’t make it as a (D).............
This is how it start folks.
No thanks. That’ll mean 4 more years of the Marxist Muslim in Chief.
I would take Dobbs over McCain any day of the week.
Nope. I wish him well, but he’s not qualified. He would just be another spoiler.
Dobbs would make for a great representative or Senator to challenge a Liberal Democrat in a primary as a “Blue Dog” Democrat.
Or even as an Independent.
The George Soros Liberal Globalist wings of both the DNC and GOP would dump a pantload if Dobbs ran (most likely as an Independent or a Third Party candidate).
With the political climate the way it is....Dobbs has a chance in 2012. Americans are tiring of both parties...and only the liberal wings of both the DNC and GOP are keen on the status quo
Dobbs biggest challenge will be raising money...but he would not have to raise the money the DNC and the GOP will need. He definitely is more media-savvy than any candidate either party will run.
I've always liked this guy. He feels like I do about illegal immigration and NO ONE has been more on the subject, consistently and for a long time, than LOU.
To be conservative in CNN's LEFTY NATION, is nothing short of heroic... honestly.
