I don’t see how anyone, Democrat or not, can defend this. Is anyone aware of just the costs of conducting this kind of a trial in a Federal court? In the biggest, most crowded city in America? Anyone want to give the mastermind of 9/11 the full panoply of Constitutional rights? This is just awful.

This is a huge mistake. Putting him on trial in the legal system guarantees they walk. They weren't in the country. They were illegally (according to the law) brought into the United States with no extradition papers. They are going to be able to sue anyone and everyone who even looked at them funny in Gitmo. And they're going to be able to file appeal after appeal.
