White House Counsel Greg Craig is expected to announce on Friday that he plans to step down from his post following a rocky tenure, people familiar with the matter said.
Craig, the top lawyer at the White House and a close aide to President Barack Obama, has helped lead the administration's efforts on several national-security policies that initially enjoyed popular support but have since become liabilities for Obama.
These include the planned closure of the prison for terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the release of Bush administration-era national-security documents.

To me it’s amazing it took until the 24th comment of the thread. That’s precisely what popped into my head the moment I read the headline.
Hasan is precisely the type of dirtbag murdering societal reject this Craig life-form covers.
Interesting observation... Mentally flagging it and waiting for more shoes to drop. If more Clintonistas fall, some sort of palace purge is going on IMHO, hmmmm is the megalomaniac getting a bit paranoid?

Does it matter? This Admnistration is doing absolutely nothing for the U.S. They have their own agenda.
Is he moving on to a multimillion dollar gig to dissuade him from writing a book? Isn’t that what usually happens when O’s people “accept reassignment”?
Once the truly incompetent are gone then the truly good ones (however many there are) will see the writing on the wall and leave and the whole administration will implode.
Somewhere I read that he has barely begun to fill cabinet positions, but his list of czars is the one that grows. Anyone know if that is true?
