NEW YORK | The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.

In Mrs. Palin's autobiography "Going Rogue," the former Alaska governor confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. The vice presidential candidate confirms that she had wanted to speak on election night, but was denied the chance and says she was kept "bottled up" from reporters during the campaign.

We know. We knew when they were campaigning that this was not ALL Sarah Palin. She, of course, was restrained and had to tow the McCain line. She was the bigger star and that won’t do.

It’s my opinion that McCain had every right to call the shots. He worked for years and essentially came back from the dead to get the GOP nomination. Sarah was invited along for the ride at the end, and I am sure she is grateful to McCain for the honor of being his selection as running mate.

Thanks to McCain, Sarah is now a national star and she can now call her own shots to her heart’s content. I hope she becomes the next president of the United States.

Of course he had the right to run his campaign his way. As awful as that was.

I think Sarah made herself the star. Not McCain. She just has ‘it’.

My brother used to work very high up in the RNC. When the post-campaign Palin bashing was going on, he was cursing the McCain campaign people. He told me the names of the ones he assumed were behind it and said he wasn’t at all surprised because they were doing what they had always done in previous campaigns: screw up and lose, then leak nasty rumors that pin the blame on someone else so that some other poor sucker would hire their incompetent a**es for some future losing campaign.

He both knew them personally and had had to suffer through working with them before, so he knows whereof he speaks. That’s why I always discounted every nasty Palin rumor that was credited to some unnamed campaign “insider.” Real insiders know it was garbage and exactly where it was coming from and why.

Amazon has her book marked down to nine bucks.

What’s up with that? Seems like a huge markdown.

I plan to buy it, but does this discounted price diminish her returns?

I watched the Oprah snippets that were released. I hate the “Palin laugh”.

I did not like what I saw on the snippets and Oprah was being very fair.

That’s normal. It’s in demand so retailers slash their prices to compete for the market.

It won’t affect her profit margin. It affects the outlets reducing the price.

Well that may well be true but the press also showed no inclination to limit themselves to the truth as a far as Palin was concerned.
