The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.
And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.
She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

No index means the media can’t just pick and choose people and places.
They’ll have to read the whole thing in context.
They absolutely hate that. It’s clearly intentional.
I never knew that if you were asked to be on a ticket you have to pay for vetting ... you would think that the person who asked you would know about you ... I don’t think that Barack Insane Obama was vetted in any way whatsoever .....
That Palin was mis-used (to be polite) by the losers on the McCain 'team' has long been obvious - Palin just gives us the details. Charging her half a million dollars for vetting her? That's outrageous. The snide comment from a McCain operative that had McCain won, they would have paid for everything, is lame. Clearly, the loser team that 'handled' Sarah Palin had no real expertise and weren't very interested in helping her help McCain thus proving their ineptitude.
Sarah Palin has a great future. The revulsion of the left when Palin's name is mentioned says it all: if they hate her she must be doing something right.
Not another nickel to the national GOP until Palin’s bill is paid.
Proving what we all knew and hated about McCain from the get go.
He’s a dog.
I happen tone going to a townhall tomorrow. Perhaps I will bring this up.
I certainly can go for the color photos though. Can’t say that about any other politician.
Katie really should take better care of those gums. Looks like she’s got some gingivitis going on there.
Please do. Of course he’ll deny it, but at least let people know not to donate to this creep.

It sickens me that I voted for him. Most depressing election ever. If the GOP doesn’t get its act together, ‘12 will be the first time I sit out a presidential election. No more of this slow-speed vs. fast speed totalitarianism.
Absolutley disgraceful treatment from someone who should know how people need to be treated, especially someone who supports you!
The dude survived cruel treatment for a long time and I saw him as a hero, but I guess so many years of the good life have erased his memory of the two sides of humanity.
Shouldn’t sicken you.
You could’ve done worse by voting for zero.
“If you put lipstick on a pig....”
Just thought you might find this interesting.
McCain and or the GOP will be embarrassed into paying this exorbitant fee. Sneaky clever to omitt the index, since you know
people would go first to the index to see who was “named.” Now they’ve got to read some of the true story.
I’m not going to believe anything CBS prints.
I’ll wait for the book.
