Palin: Couric was "Badgering" and Biased

The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.

And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.

She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

What more of a "clue" do you need other than McCain's treatment of his first wife? Former beauty queen, waited for him faithfully and patiently while he was a POW. Suffered a disfiguring automobile accident in the meantime. When McCain got back and saw what she now looked like, he divorced her.

Actions speak louder than words.

Charging her half a million dollars for vetting her? That's outrageous.

It's outrageous but that's not quite correct. The excerpt says that the half million is her total legal bill, about 1/10th of which is the McCain vetting bill. The remaining 9/10ths are from defending herself against frivolous ethics charges in Alaska.

Either way, Governor Palin really got dumped on in the election.

I really like Sarah Palin, but her statement is very unfair to badgers. Badgers belong to the carnivora order while Couric is clearly a member of the rodent family.

She was commenting on how classy Sarah Palin was in the preview of her Oprah intewrview, for taking “the high road” in her refusal to condemn her recently ex-son in law, Johnston, and how un classy he was.
