The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.
And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.
She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

How could a campaign spend $500,000 vetting a VP candidate?
The entire US Press Corps spent about 3 nickels vetting Obama.
Bret Bair sucks lemons. He was on Rush sound bites. He was one of the left wing talking points montage.
It's $50,000, not $500,000
Not that it changes the disgusting principle of it.
It was pretty cool, even if for a brief moment I thought I was having a stroke.
I twittered him telling him what he did wrong. He has also been receiving emails, according to an email he wrote to someone that posts on C4P, he said he will correct this horrible mistake tomorrow on his show and apologize
So the McCain people set her up, and threw her to the wolves and when the interview didn't go well, they never defended her. And it was their idea that she should have been interviewed by that harpy.
“McCain campaign aide Nicolle Wallace, who told Palin that Couric - also a working mother - liked and admired her”
Wallace is a legit dimwit....anybody who thought Couric was a good idea has no clue...
Ok, so who is daddy country clubber that got Nicole into the RNC and WH. She was also running communications strategy for Bush....nice job selling the war too Nicolle.
“L”
I agree. No wonder McCain dropped the ball on Election 2008 with advisers like Wallace!
Thank you for correcting the $500,000 figure. I was hoping someone would catch that before I got to the end of the thread. People read too fast and lose a lot of comprehension. $50,000 is bad enough.
Where’s Diddly Dee Scozza Fava Beans and Wayne the Pain Gilchrest?
Ironic, since most of the money that POS Juan received was BECAUSE of Palin alone. McLame’s got plenty of his own money that he could have used to pay this bill. The ONLY reason I voted was to vote FOR Palin against Zero. McLame wasn’t even part of my consideration.
But he is now. He’s right up there with Zero and the other traitors to America on my S-List.
you’re quite welcome. i hope you read further and saw it was an issue with the original article and not the poster.
Unfortunately, you are quite correct. IMHO, her resignation will certainly be a campaign issue, as well as the plethora of ethics complaints--both frivilous and substantiated. I also think that more of her SarahPAC donations could become an issue, unless she gets some competent advice in that area.
(Ducking for the incoming Palinista posts hurling the dreaded "PDS" and "Sarah hater" labels) Deal with it, kiddies, and try to have a good day.

yawn
zzzzzz
They also say that the $50,000 was for Troopergate, nothing at all to do with the campaign or campaign vetting.
On the bright side, he did bring Sarah Palin into the realm of national politics, and I’m grateful for that.
We need more like her.
Isn’t Couric the one who admitted on nationwide TV that she was too stupid to come up with her own questions, and had to contact 0bama campaign worker, Sam Nunn, and get advice from him?
