What, all 12 of them?
The woman who ran HP into the ground, or someone else? That’s an easy pick right there, and I haven’t even gotten to ideology.
Many Dems will tend to vote for the most leftist Republican candidate, rather than the Democrat candidate - since their incumbent (Boxer) will be running unopposed in her primary.
Its really a very fouled up system.
Supposedly the RNC believes that Carly has no chance against Boxer. If that’s the case, why not let a conservative run and give the voters a real choice?
I don’t know much about Chuck, but dammit Carly is a horrible candidate. When your best known for destroying icons of the tech industry, you are not the best choice to be a Senator.
Californians, you know there is a good chance the Democrat is going to win the general anyway, but if they are at least let them win by taking on a true conservative, not a joke.
Sorry Carly, but you really have nothing in your background that suggests remotely you would or should be a senator.
Virginia and New Jersey gives us the model for this election. Pick good conservatives. When they are asked about social issues, they should provide unapologetic, consistent, reasoned answers for their positions. But then immediately say that this election is not about those things but about jobs, the deficit, national debt, runaway socialism.
Virginia and New Jersey proved that moderate to liberal independents will vote eagerly for someone who is a fiscal conservative concerned about jobs and the economy. The 2010 election is going to be about the economy.
bump
I lived in California from 1964 to 2004, and I am not recalling any person with the name of Chuck DeVore in politics there.
What is his background?
McClintock is a true conservative. Wish he would run for Pelosi’s seat.
Fiorina is backed by the liberal RNC establishment she’ll never get the votes of grassroots and independents/moderates will just go for Boxer.
I read Carly’s book. She’s as cold as ice.
Who needs that?
DooDoo Scuzzyflavor, California-style.
who’s Carly Fiorini? haha! Fiorina... isn’t she battling cancer? what is it with Repubs announcing their intentions to run and then disclosing they’re battling cancer?
