The conservative challenging GOP establishment-backed candidate Carly Fiorina in the 2010 Republican U.S. Senate primary in California says his campaign is putting the lie to the notion that the Party needs a moderate, self-funded businesswoman to defeat incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer.
California Assemblyman Chuck DeVore says he is not surprised or bothered that Carly Fiorina gained the backing of eight Republican U.S. senators last week in Washington. DeVore notes that he has been endorsed by 60 percent of California's elected Republican officials, including Congressman Tom McClintock -- people that can actually vote for him.
In fact, DeVore says he expected more than eight GOP Senators to support Fiorina out of the gate...

Fiorina is backed by the liberal RNC establishment she’ll never get the votes of grassroots and independents/moderates will just go for Boxer.
I read Carly’s book. She’s as cold as ice.

who’s Carly Fiorini? haha! Fiorina... isn’t she battling cancer? what is it with Repubs announcing their intentions to run and then disclosing they’re battling cancer?
You’re partly right. Californians have had an adversity to pro-life, pro-growth conservatives since the early 1990’s. Republicans do need some glamor with their nominee, or at least celebrity.
I don’t know what to think about Carly Fiorina, but she has some celebrity and appears willing to spend her own money.
