BEEVILLE, TX

November 14 Rally 9:30 AM

Tea Party Patriots:

We will have a Tea Party Patriot Rally at the Memorial site next door to Mr. Hinojosa’s office on November 14, 2009. If there is overflow, we will go next door to Courthouse steps (we already got the okay from the Commissioner’s court to do so). Our guest speaker will be John Caldwell from Goliad.

He is 84 years young, a pilot instructor, flew 38 combat missions in Korea, flew unarmed helicopter in that campaign and is credited with 3 behind the scenes rescue missions in Korea. He served 28 years in the Air Force and was a combat pilot. He also served 2 years as a test pilot.

“And frankly, when the first Boston tea party was held, the Indians were the residents and the Europeans were the immigrants.”

Yes, and you’re advocating destroying our culture just as the culture and land and life of the Indians was. Be proud. The Indian needed a BETTER immigration policy, but he was easily fooled, like you seem to want the rest of us to be. WE are the current indigenous tribe! BTW, those AMERICANS from Boston were NATIVES...they were born here, very few were ‘immigrants’ and we didn’t coddle them like we do today.

Instead of your little jabs at anything you can find, why don’t you just tell us the truth...do you want another amnesty?

Twist the facts like you usually do. Numbers don’t lie. This country isn’t 1870 any longer, have you noticed?? IT’S FULL!
We sure don’t need to overcrowd it with people who are so willing to break the law. If you don’t respect our laws, you can leave with them.

staytrue is part of the gop Squatter Support Squad...always defending the illegal aliens and bashing anyone who doesn’t like this invasion. What he/she/it sees in conservatism and the rule of law is beyond me.

Also in the news today:

Ten most troubled states in the U.S.

[snip] The same economic pressures that pushed California to the brink of insolvency are wreaking havoc on other states, a new report has found.

And how state officials deal with their fiscal problems could reverberate across the United States, according to the Pew Center on the States’ analysis released Wednesday.

The 10 most troubled states are: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

Other states — including Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, New York and Hawaii — were not far behind.

“I thought tea parties were about shrinking govt. spending and regulations and reduced taxes.”

Are you an idiot?

Instead of your little jabs at anything you can find

I do that sometimes, but not this time. I've been to a couple tea parties. The people who went are mad as hell but immigration is not what they are mad about. They were mad about bailouts, taxes, stimulus, welfare and Obamacare. I never heard a word about immigration, not from the speakers and not from the crowd.

I never heard a word about abortion, gay marriage or second amendment either.

The tea parties I went to had a lot of people who were never politically active in their lives. They are not like you and me.

Some of your digs at me are valid on other threads, but not this one.

Bottom line: the tea party movement has a very low priority on abortion, immigration, medical marijuana and a whole host of other issues.

Illegal immigration increases taxes and welfare rolls.

Why don't you understand that fact?

BTW: Going to a tea party in a border state is a whole new experience. Most here are pro-life, anti-illegal immigration, etc.

We don't need a friggin sign to state those points.

Many Americans showed up for the rallies. Here is a report from NAFBPO about one in Yakima, Wa. Kent Lundgren, founder and past chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers, has done great work for NAFBPO.

Group holds rally to protest amnesty for illegal immigrants

YAKIMA, Wash. — Wearing T-shirts bearing the slogan “Stop the Invasion,” and applauding to exhortations such as “take back our country,” opponents of amnesty for illegal immigrants gathered today at a Grange hall in Yakima.

About 65 people attended the event, dubbed “Tea Party Against Amnesty and Illegal Immigration,” at the Gardner Grange to hear a former U.S. Border Patrol agent speak and to write quick letters to government officials.

“We can deal with it (illegal immigration),” Kent Lundgren, founder and past chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers, told the audience.

The event was one of 53 similar rallies held across the country Saturday to speak out against immigration reforms proposed by President Obama’s administration. The suggestions include a form of amnesty for undocumented immigrants already living in the United States, as well as a promise for tougher enforcement and a streamlined system for legal immigration.

The attendees, some who came from Seattle and Prosser, shared coffee and homemade cookies with a backdrop of patriotic music, including “Ragged Old Flag” by Johnny Cash, coming from speakers hooked to a laptop. Afterward, about 10 or so waved flags and protest signs on the corner of Summitview and 40th avenues.
