Doctors questioned Hasan's behavior (Lame Stream Media still trying to give cover to the terrorist)
MSNBC ^ | 11/11/2009 | STAFF

A group of doctors overseeing Nidal Malik Hasan's medical training discussed concerns about his overly zealous religious views and strange behavior months before the Army major was accused of opening fire on soldiers and civilians at Fort Hood, Texas, The Associated Press and NPR News reported Wednesday.

A military official familiar with discussions about Hasan said Hasan as a psychiatrist in training was belligerent, defensive and argumentative in his frequent discussions of his Muslim faith. He also had a reputation for being a mediocre student and lazy worker, a matter of concern for doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences military medical school, the official said.

The military source spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the source was not authorized to speak publicly about the meetings.

The fact remains that if he’d gotten anything more than a slap on the wrist he would have turned around and sued for discrimination and in the DC area he probably would have won big.

I’m somewhat comforted by the fact that there seem to be multiple people in the military/Walter Reed leaking info about who knew what about Hasan and when.

I can’t believe that the Army or FBI has not secured his apartment. Fox just showed some pictures of it and none of that stuff could be used as evidence now. Who knows what is still there in the closet. It should have been secured as part of the crime scene..
They don’t want all the facts on this guy to come out or to trial.

"A military official familiar with discussions about Hasan said Hasan as a psychiatrist in training was belligerent, defensive and argumentative in his frequent discussions of his Muslim faith."

I'm actually surprised that this is being reported by MSNBC. It's right on the money, as far as I can see, and is pretty damning testimony against the terrorist, Hasan.

I don't see how this article is giving any "cover" to him.

Every Democrat running for office in 2010 should be asked if he/she believes the Fort Hood massacre was a terrorist act. Let’s see them squirm.

yes, General Casey, it would be a greater tragedy if we lose this type of diversity in the military.

Several officials told NPR that supervisors had repeatedly given Hasan poor evaluations and warned him that he was doing substandard work during his training at Walter Reed...and yet he wasn't separated from the service because many were afraid thay'd be accused of "discriminating" against a Muslim if he were - when it finally sinks in on the public that this failure to act was the result of a military culture which wants to avoid any negative actions toward Muslims no matter how much deserved - fostered by a CIC who won't even talk about "terrorism" and generals like Casey who want to see no evil which might disrupt "diversity" - there may be h*ll to pay.....

I don't see how this article is giving him ‘cover’. They pretty well document how his supervisors thought he was a nut bag and possible terrorist sympathizer. They even say they were afraid he might do exactly what he did.

They didn't have the info that the FBI (and possibly others) had about his attempts to contact Al Queda.

***Fort Hood was considered the best assignment for Hasan because other doctors could handle the workload if he continued to perform poorly and his superiors could document any continued behavior problems, the official said.***

Nothing of cover here. He was just a poor worker that had some slight attitude problems.
