[It is well with my soul...was the name of the song that was being played...]
Several said it was Fairest Lord Jesus. I shall look them both up.
We all have fear for family and country right now, and there’s good reason for it.
Thanks, that’s what I was thinking! Guess I missed the briefing on the drinking game; I have a couple of coins, but I don’t recall them being part of some big solemn tradition; it was more of a ‘thanks for being a warm body at this five hour formation’ kind of a thing.
It was an empty speech.
From an empty man.
I agree. It was up to each state’s Gov I would imagine.
Thank you for giving us a glimpse of the President that many of us loved and still do and thank you for sharing with us a glimpse of your Shawn, a brave and beautiful soul.
God bless & keep you and your family and thank you!
got told off a friend down it was mostly black civilian workers who work on the base
And now “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”. What a wonderful hymn.
They didn’t order it here in IL, did they? I would be shocked if Quinn actually did that. I thought it was nice to see. I always feel like you, the other freepers, and I have the only patriotic households in IL.
[I am great in a crisis, can think and act quick. Comes in handy when everyone else is falling apart.]
You sound just like me. Even my oldest daughter calls on me in times of crisis.
I was told the same by a friend who is down there and they are civilian workers on the base too
Glad to oblige. On a satisfying note, another Muslim terrorist is set to die tonight (the cowardly D.C. sniper). I’d chip in for a live feed of the execution to be set up in Hasan’s hospital room.
I bet President Bush wishes he could be there...
He and Laura would have put their arms around those greiving families and greived with them...
Those people would have known he loved them and was sorry for their “lose”
The Justice Dept or whomever under Pres Bush would have acted differently the very first day...
I doubt we as potential victims would have been treated like criminals...
just said on another post
a friend down there called me and said it were black civilian workers who work on the base and most were black women

well, it was beyond horrid.
Check out the look on Stuart Smalley’s face. Talk about a fish out of water.
tHANKS for the update.
Another inappropriate moment - as the Bozo's were coming in for the ceremony - Michelle was smiling.
It is a great letter - not mine though! I just recall it from awhile ago and was able to find it again on the web. I recall similar stories after 9/11 too as President Bush met with the families.
