Women's rights advocates are angry after an amendment restricting abortion access and funding was added to the health care reform bill, which the House of Representatives passed on Saturday.
"We had the most pro-choice candidate in decades, but we don't have the most pro-choice president," said Terry O'Neill, president of the half-million-strong National Organisation of Women.
"The Stupak-Pitts amendment is a giant leap in the direction of making abortion completely inaccessible to all of us," O'Neill said.
Sixty-four Democrats joined 176 Republicans to vote for the amendment, named after co-authors Representative Bart Stupak, a Democrat, and Republican lawmaker Joseph Pitts.
"They said they wouldn't have been able to get health care reform passed without this amendment," said O'Neill.

Good. It would protect those unborn babies from being aborted by their 'mothers'.
What are these savages complaining about? It is still perfectly legal for them to murder unborn boys as well as girls under this law.
The liberals seem to be obsessed with death. They deny it, but they really seem to be a cult of death.
They live on lies.
I’m fed up with this argument.
Nobody is telling you what you can do with your body. What we are telling you is that you CANNOT reach into someone else’s wallet to CONFISCATE the funds to do what you want to do with your body.
If it’s your body....YOU take care of it.
It does not! You can pay for your own abortion! Stay out of MY wallet!
That is precisely why they like Islam so much — both are cults of death.
Abortion is legal and available all over the country, per Roe v. Wade. What these people want is not accessibility, which they already have through Planned Parenthood, but the ability to impose their murderous beliefs on those whose legitimate moral or religious beliefs compel them to oppose the abortion agenda. This is a perfect example of leftist totalitarianism in action.
Pay for their own,
or set up a voluntary charity to pay for them.
They just don’t want people pointing out the obvious -
abortion is morally wrong.
Why do lesbians hate babies so much?
Oddly, the gay men I know are very pro-life.
Gay men like babies because some of the babies will be boys, and will eventually reach puberty, and the gay men look forward to recruiting them.
I guess throwing embryos under the bus is OK? Especially if we are paying for it??
Our problem is that The Senate/Conference is likely to change the language of Stupak-Pitt and leave the matter to the courts to decide. With that, they will have breached the wall built by the Hyde Amendment and allowed liberal judges to have another chance to permit federal funding of abortions.
That's because many Feminazis take on the old stereotype of macho-man. Bullies, terrorizing their lipstick partners and society as a whole. They are vindictive creeps who really don't care about life, only themselves. Any woman who is successful and trying to get these commie traitors off their back is their enemy.

Unless of course that choice is regarding the ability to chose the health insurance provider, or even more basically whether to have or NOT have health insurance.
Hey NOW, keep your laws off my BODY!
“Nobody is telling you what you can do with your body.”
Regardless of the ammendment, this legislation is most certainly telling you what you can do with your body. As soon as you forfiet the care of your body to the Government, you give them control of your physical being.
Hey Dems, Keep your laws off my BODY!
Yeah, nevermind the fact that this who Healthcare bill throws all of us under the bus and then drives back and forth over our bodies a couple of times, we’re just mad abortions won’t be paid for. :)
