"Compare her reponse wiht the cops at Columbine."

Unfair. The LEO's at Columbine had to assess the situation before they could move their SWAT teams in, because of all the children involved. The Ft. Hood situation was entirely a different event. It was about Military personell who are ready to die no matter where they are.

I am ex-Navy and Shore Patrol (Navy COPS) experienced. Columbine has NO correlation to the shooting at Ft. Hood.

her actions are so typical of most of our wonderful police in this country...

Really? Columbine High School comes to mind. The cops there were cowards.

This woman was a hero; she stands alone.

“nations considered models of social control and religious truth...”

The Muslim nations will never get anywhere unless they allow their women to become fully empowered citizens. Part of the power of the West in the past 100 years is that all our population has the oportunity to contribute to society, rather than just 1/2 the people.

Or maybe Rumsfeld had something to do with it. Just a theory. I’ve been reading about his attempts to relieve stress on the military during the Middle East wars, and one thing he did was contract the protection of diplomats, etc. in Iraq to private security guards. I can see the Pentagon contracting civilian police for American bases to free up MPs for overseas duties.

I understand what you are saying, but there was a major reassessment of dealing with hostage situations after Columbine.

It was determined that holding back caused unnecessary deaths and that it is better to take down active killers sooner rather than later.

One teacher bled out at Columbine, laying for hours while it was decided whether it was safe for the cops to go in.

I do agreee that Columbine is different: I wish the Media and PC-controlled Mafia running the show would understand that, instead of making poor doctor Hasan just another violence-prone flipped out guy who had a bad day.

Wasn’t there also a male police officer involved who fired two of the four shots that brought Hasan down? That’s what was reported yesterday.

If true, both officers deserve the same accolades. I hope we’re not seeing a woman be praised for doing something that a male officer also did. Women went into police work and related formerly all-male fields of endeavor with the claim that they can do the job just as well. Fine, then they don’t deserve more praise than a man doing the same job.

You are right.... it really doesn’t matter until the results from forensics come in, and they do work as a team, but It will sure be good if they were her bullets that brought him down! Because.......

Hassie was such a wuss....too chicken to kill just himself (would not get to muzzy heav’n if he committed suicide, so had to jihad to take out as many infidels as possible = failure), he couldn’t find a woman to marry, hung out at the Starz Stripper Club and then to get his jihad aborted by one little fireball of a woman arms instructor, then to be paralyzed, and now can’t go to muzzy heav’n and get his 72 virgins!! That’s got to really be the epitomy of failure!!

Good goin’ girl, you’re my hero....Kudos for both ....our brave heroine and brave Sgt.Todd...what a team!!

He needs to die by lethal injection, mixed with pig urine base....that’ll keep him out of muzzy heav’n for sure!! It would be too bad if he died as a Martyr!!

Pics were up on Fox yesterday mid-day.

I don’t think it had anything to do with the media. I think the military held the photos back pending identification confirmation, notification, security authorization to publish them and a firmer account of what happened to the personnel. It may be that, out of respect, the army wanted permission from the families to print the photos. The pics on Fox showed some of the victims in their civilian clothing, so it may well be that those pics came from the families. I don’t think two days to do all that is a lot. Our lives don’t turn on having to see their faces immediately.

Are you sure that’s it or do you think that maybe we’re short on people in-country and instead of using MPs and SPs to police the bases, they’re deployed overseas and the bases are using local PD in certain circumstances?

Just a thought.

They don’t carry weapons on that base for a variety of reasons given by a number of military experts, including the base commander. But maybe you know more than they do?

"“The ‘women don’t belong in combat’ crowd has been rather quiet for the past couple of days...”"

I've always been one of the most vocal opponents against women in the military, but now I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised by Munley's actions. She moved around the corner of the building and forward towards the Islamofacist prick and exchanged fire with him face to face!!! Can you get any more brave with all of some 90 lbs.? Amazing!

Geeze, I don't know if I would have such b*lls. What a woman! I am thoroughly impressed. But let's not forget her partner (Todd) who was also on scene and exchanged fire with the Islamist. He, also, didn't wait for backup.

Still, this small woman stood firm in a gunfight!!! This is the making of a legend!...much like the days of Wyatt and Virgil Earp at Lot 42 behind the OK Corral.

I have a new Hero. The name is MUNLEY/TODD. Has a ring to it, doesn't it?

“Unfair. The LEO’s at Columbine had to assess the situation before they could move their SWAT teams in, because of all the children involved”

Only problem with that is that they (the children) were being shot. I have read that the tactics employed at Fort Hood were developed because of Columbine.

It’s a federal reservation. The army can contract with the local PD if they want to instead of training our guys as MPs, SPs, etc... It makes sense to me, especially when we’re short on people and they’re being deployed 3 and 4 times. Our guys aren’t trained to be cops and bust up fights, investigate thefts, work drugs, haul away drunk and disorderlies and work traffic. It’s a different discipline than fighting in battle and using very high-tech, highly specialized equipment to blow shit up and kill enemy.

The Brits are smart to see the niche and fill it.

They also have a much better command of the language than the average American “journalist” or “reporter.”

"Only problem with that is that they (the children) were being shot."

Yes, but the LEO's didn't know the sitrep.

"I have read that the tactics employed at Fort Hood were developed because of Columbine."

Really? What "tactics" were employed? As far as we know now, it was (2) cops who intervened.

SWAT and "tactical" forces got on scene after the fact, which is usually the case. That's why I believe that anyone who wants to carry a weapon should be able to carry a weapon.

Think about this: Every time the Police show up is usually after the crime has been committed. Of course, I support them and they do their clandestine ops, but when a burglary or home invasion or car-jacking or drive by shootings occur, the Police show up to investigate the crime that has already occurred.

Every person in the US should be armed. Think what an impact that would have on the bad guys.

I have a sign outside my home that says, "This Is An Armed House - Invade At Your Risk". Guess what? Two doors down was robbed, recently. What does that tell you?

Think Remington 870 double ought.
