(CBS) Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the health care bill passed last night by the House of Representatives is "dead on arrival to the Senate."
Graham argued that the House bill was "written for liberals, by liberals.
"Just look at how it passed; it passed 220 to 215. It passed by two votes. You had [39] Democrats vote against the bill," Graham told "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer Sunday.
He also admitted that if it were to come down to it, he would join his independent colleague Senator Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., in filibustering a bill including the so-called public option should it come to the Senate floor.
"The House bill is a non-starter in the Senate," he added. "I just think the construct out of the House and what exists in the Senate is not going to pass, and I hope and pray it doesn't because it would be a disaster for the economy and health care," Graham concluded.
Graham believed a public option would "destroy" private health care, saying that insurance companies could not compete against the lower premiums of a government-backed plan. "It will be a death blow to private choice," he said.

The usual “burn it down and groove on the rubble” loud mouths will of course chime in but their tired rhetoric but clear thinking conservatives know the most effective course of action today would be to support Graham on this issue then fight him tooth and nail over C&T tomorrow.

I don’t care what version the Senate RINOs want to support. If we give the socialists something, anything, even a comparatively benign bill, reconciliation will allow them to turn that into the biggest power grab since Hitler’s German coalition government of 1933. PelosiCare must die (before it kills the United States).

In the last couple of months, the Democrats have provided an astonishing amount of ammunition to use against them in the next election. However, they still intend to win, and they intend to pull out all stops and win dirty. To me that means more massive ACORN fraud and AMNESTY.

There’s no stopping this. And you’ll be amazed how easily it will pass the Senate. A year from now, the attitude will be “We got socialized medicine, and the world didn’t end! Those demotards were right.” 2010 will not be a bloodbath, people forget. And the ugly stuff doesn’t hit until 2013, remember. That is deliberately planned.
The GOP will be lucky to pick up twenty seats in the House, maybe even ten. The republic has been dying for decades; the ascension of Teleprompter Jesus is just the arrival of the minister for the funeral. Barry was right, the Nation Below Canada is no more exceptional than Greece or Turkey or Zimbabwe. The voters have seen to that.
It is time to sack DC.
