There’s no stopping this. And you’ll be amazed how easily it will pass the Senate. A year from now, the attitude will be “We got socialized medicine, and the world didn’t end! Those demotards were right.” 2010 will not be a bloodbath, people forget. And the ugly stuff doesn’t hit until 2013, remember. That is deliberately planned.
The GOP will be lucky to pick up twenty seats in the House, maybe even ten. The republic has been dying for decades; the ascension of Teleprompter Jesus is just the arrival of the minister for the funeral. Barry was right, the Nation Below Canada is no more exceptional than Greece or Turkey or Zimbabwe. The voters have seen to that.
It is time to sack DC.
Soooo...after we take back America from the commies (which will commence very shortly)...how about these for a good start....
NEW RULES FOR A NEW REPUBLIC
1 NO UNIONS. We won’t need em. We’ll already have a framework of standard employment practices in place. That means no crippling strikes that run costs of business up sky high just to benefit a few.
2 No outsourcing. If a business wants to outsource to a foreign country, they can move there. We’ll help em pack.
3 Few or no regulations on corporations. Business must be free to prosper and to employ Americans.
4 No workey, no votey. Everybody works, even if it’s just to pick up trash on city streets. Deadbeats are not allowed. That will leave more money for the REAL needy of society, the sick, disabled, etc....vs. the eternally stupid and terminally lazy. You got too many kids to work...you work at a subsidized daycare so moms that have skills to work elsewhere are free to do just that...work. In other words you still contribute.
5 No attorneys may become President! Attorneys can't be trusted to be attorneys, much less CIC.
6 No more sneaking in amendments that are for one issue into bills for a completely different issue, just because it will be hard to pass. One bill per issue.
7 Lie detector methods WILL be used to determine the honesty of political candidate's motives and true political stance (no RINOs need apply). Failure to live up to the promises and original political stance of any candidate will be resolved by immediate impeachment of that senator, congressman or executive branch individual.
8 National Sales Tax will replace the income tax, thereby taking a huge burden off of the producers of this country. No more 'punish the successful and reward the lazy, indolent losers'.
9 No reparations of ANY kind will be paid to ANYone for ANYthing.
10 Term limits, term limits, term limits. Even those that WERE honest, if they end up corrupt, they're outta there. No more perpetually elected Teddy "Hic" Kennedys!
11 An oath of office and a pledge to uphold the US Constitution WILL be expected and WILL be enforced. Failure to uphold the US Constitution will result in immediate impeachment.
12 All military personnel applicants will be thoroughly vetted for their affiliations and possible foreign alliances, religious or otherwise.
13 All members of Congress and Senate will be expected to use the same retirement and health insurance that they advocate for their constituents. Penalties for not following this rule will result in their immediate impeachment.
