Gov-elect Chris Christie assures Family Policy group: "NJ has a proudly pro-life governor”
New Jersey Family Policy ^ | 11/7/09

Governor-elect Chris Christie made a surpise appearance at the New Jersey Family Policy annual dinner. Gov Christie thanked the audience for all of the work done on behalf of New Jersey families. Christie told the New Jersey Family Policy group about his own family and his kids and spoke about their shared values. Governor-elect Chris Christie said he prepared his family for the possibility of a loss that was not to be. He huddled with his family on election night before going on stage to accept the election results. His family all shared their love and celebration.

Governor-elect Christie graciously acknowledged all of the New Jersey Family Policy award recipients and made special note of the Legislator of The Year Award winner----pro-life Assemblyman Jay Webber.

Assemblyman Webber has agreed to serve as the New Jersey Republican Party Chairman, thus placing pro-life issues at the center of the seat of power in New Jersey.

Governor-elect Christie promised to fight for family values. He will work for parental notification so that 13-year old children would need parental permission before obtaining an abortion. Governor elect Christie brought the New Jersey Family Policy audience to their feet when he told them that "New Jersey has a proudly pro-life governor.” There was a full two minute standing ovation.

Governor elect Christie also promised to veto any proposal to impose gay marriage on the people of the State.

All in all, a night to remember and the assurance that changes in Trenton are eminent.

Miss California, Carrie Prejean’s appearance was unfortunately cancelled due to her new legal problems. She wanted to give testimony about giving her opinion on "gay “arriage” during the Miss America Pageant (a measure which has been rejected by 31 states, to date). Miss Prejean answered that, like the people of California that she represents, that marriage should be between one man and one woman. Miss Prejean was pilloried by gay activists for her “bigoted” and “hateful” statement. She lost her bid to become Miss America. Pageant owner, Donald Trump, decided that she could continue in her role as Miss California. However, she was subsequently dethroned and a lawsuit ensued over her rights to talk about God and her position against gay marriage. Miss California officials' falsely claimed that she would not make required appearances. Keep her in your prayers as she is facing tremendous attacks for simply speaking the truth.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee substituted for Carrie Prehjean. Gov Huckabee spoke from the heart about the need to defend the family, and all life. He is regularly seen on his Fox-TV show.

New Jersey Family Policy group is starting a Political Action Committee with plans to fund it with 10,000 families donating $2 per week. The idea is to have a war chest to fight for family values, and monitor developments in Trenton.

The NY Times reported every TV ad Corzine put on the air was screened by the Obama's WH team. The governor’s aides give the WH daily briefings. Obama’s pollsters have taken over for Mr. Corzine’s polling team, and White House operatives are on the ground for everything from internal strategy sessions to obscure pep rallies with Latino supporters.

So we can safely assume that Gov Corzine believes what the Obamas believe WRT aborted babies born alive.

Michelle Obama called partial-birth abortion "a legitimate medical procedure. " Mrs Obama urged voters to attend a fund-raiser for her then-Senate candidate husband and said Obama promised to fight against "cynical ploys" to prohibit doctors from performong p/b abortions (stabbing half-born babies in the neck with scissors, suctioning out their brains and crushing their skulls).

FEDERAL LEVEL Legislation was presented on the federal level and in various states called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. It stated all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted. BAIPA sailed through the US Senate by unanimous vote. Even Sens. Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother's right to "choose" stopped at her baby's delivery. The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the House. Even abortion enthusiasts publicly agreed that fighting BAIPA would appear extreme. NARAL went neutral on it. President Bush signed BAIPA into law in 2002.

But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then-state Sen. Barack Obama. Obama worried aloud to all that would listen, that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on women's rights or abortionists' rights. In 2003, as chairman of the next Senate committee to which BAIPA was sent, Obama stopped it from even getting a hearing, shelving it to die much like babies were still being shelved to die in Illinois hospitals and abortion clinics.

BAIPA passed in 2005.........after Obama left.

THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR Ohaha hid $14.5B stimulus in Jersey. According to investigatve press reports, the billions have disappeared.....never to be seen again....never used for the projects intended. $14.5 B is a lot of street money. We can safely conclude Ohaha hid $14.5B stimulus in Jersey to aid Jonny’s reelection. Ohaha is desperate for Dems to win. VA has the only other state race. In exchange for the $14.5 Billion, Obama tasked Corzine to do a trial run for Obamacare. How do we know? The gov't is overreaching---and running roughshod over those who won’t kneel in obeisance to gov’t nostrums. Let’s not forget Corzine was sucking up to 2008 candidate Hillary ---and even offered to fund primary do-overs for her (lost when states broke DNC rules). But when push came to shove, faster than you can say “I’m a loser with Hillary,” at the DNC convention, Corzine gave all of NJ’s primary votes to Obama (even though Hillary won the NJ primary).

======================================

CAUGHT ON TAPE: White House press secretary---and resident liar, Robert Gibbs -----has taken to saying that the elections don't mean much to Ohaha----that O was watching a docu on himself---NOT the returns. Hah. We got video and pictures of Obama and Corzine locked in a passionate embrace, TV ads, and signs proclaiming Obama/Corzine. Ohaha was castrated on Tuesday and he still doesn't know it? Well, maybe when Michele asks for sex, the reality will kick in....... (/snic).

=========================================

HERE'S HOW DESPERATE THE OVOMITONS WERE TO WIN NJ Obama came to New Jersey three times---Biden was here twice. The NY Times reported: (a) every TV ad Corzine put on the air was being screened by Obama's WH team. (b) Corzine's aides gave the WH daily briefings. (c) Obama’s pollsters took over for Corzine’s polling team, and, (d) White House operatives were on the ground for everything from internal strategy sessions to secret, obscure pep rallies with Latinoes, (still toweling off after swimming the Rio Grande). Corzine had a "Peruvian PAC" endorsing him. Latino invaders from Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Spain are currently "registered" to vote in NJ (or being trucked in election day) under several names.......all voting for Corzine under several identities. Ohaha’s Chicago buddies are experts in mfg the votes needed to win. Stashing piles of votes that “suddenly appear” in used pizza boxes.......... and scribbling “Vota Corzine” on Taco Bell wrappers. Ohaha hid $17.5 BILLION stimulus in NJ---it disappeared and could not be found ----b/c the stimulus was intended for Corzine's reelection kitty. NOTE The WH still has not spent 85% of the stim----buzz is Ohaha is saving it for Dem candidates 2010 elections.

=========================================

AFTERMATH The White House is sucking up valium and vodka to anesthetize themselves. Rahm Enanuel's plieing like crazy Mmm, mm, mmm....... I just can't wait to see the post-election Ohaha ........... smiling through his electoral castration. ROTFL. Harken to the White House's frantic spinning...”the elections weren’t about us.......except the one we won, that one's all about us, that one proves that the whole country loves us, and wants socialized medicine.” (Snicker) Now we know why Harry Reid came out yesterday to lessen expectations that the healthcare mess would be voted on........the WH knew they were headed into a Republican storm. The tsunami is ahead..........in 2010. Ohaha can day goodbye to trillion dollar healthcare "reform".......nothing more than a slush fund to redistribute the wealth to enrich his hand-picked Marxists.

BACK$TORY Corzine spent $108M of the vast fortune he made at Goldman Sachs, by taking the company public, to buy a US Senate seat and then the governorship. He "says" he spent $25M against Chrsitie.

Cirzuine was hot to "monetize roads:" Corzine (a former Godman Sachs bond salesman) would dump billions in Goldman Sachs bonding debt onto taxpayers for generations to come. Bonding alone would make Corzine, Goldman Sachs, and their hand-picked Wall Street insiders, wealthy beyond imagination…..in addition to the billions they are sucking out of New Jersey.

And now Obama and his Chicago mobsters are in on the deal. Read on.

BACKSTORY In Feb 2009, Corzine sent his Transportation Commissioner to tell Obama he had 250 projects which were candidates to receive federal funding under Obama's stimulus plan. NJ State transportation honchos, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and US Transportation Secy Ray LaHood met just as the House and Senate finalized the $790 billion stimulus measure.

According to the US Dept of Transportation, the final $790 billion stimulus measure Obama signed the measure into law contains about $46 billion for transportation infrastructure, including about $30 billion for highways, $12 billion for transit and $3.1 billion for passenger rail. Jon “return on investment” Corzine sought up to $350 billion in transportation and other infrastructure spending----such as money for Jersey's school construction fund which went bankrupt under Corzine, and is missing about $80 Billion. (SOURCE RAJU CHEBIUM • GANNETT NEWS SERVICE • February 11, 2009)

In December 2009 at the height of the nation‘s financial meltdown Wall Street's Christopher Flowers who oversees Jon “return on investment” Corzine's personal assets made a bundle. During the meltdown Flowers made $20 million in less than a week just for writing a " fairness opinion." Flowers and Corzine were cronies at Goldman Sachs. (Source: Too Big To Fail, Andrew Sorkin's book about the meltdown)

News reports say NJ is currently paying out $1 million a month on bonds redeemed. According to Bloomberg News’ Dusty McNichol yet another Corzine extortion gambit was uncovered-----the Corzine admin is paying Goldman Sachs (his former employer) $1 million a month because our “financial genius governor” stupidly entered a risky financial agreement.

Bloomberg reported the agreement performed so badly, it screwed-over taxpayers. So far, Jon “return on investment” Corzine has gutted the bankrupt Transportation Trust Fund to pay what amounts to double interest on a $345 million debt. When asked for an explanation by Bloomberg, Jon “return on investment” Corzine fatuously said, “I’m sure there’s an explanation. They don’t just send money out.”

Duh.

HOW THE GOLDMAN DEAL WENT DOWN Corzine‘s plan was to issue $1.1 billion in new debt (bonding) for transportation funding, an expensive borrowing scheme that did not require a first payment on principal until 2023. For $250 million of that debt, there won't be interest payments until 2023. For 15 years, interest will compound without payment. If this sounds a lot worse than some of the bad mortgage debt that led to the recent financial meltdown, that's because it is. Former NJ governors issued debt for transportation projects with responsible terms that included 20 years of flat annual payments.

If New Jersey were to borrow $1.1 billion with responsible terms that include a 20-year flat payment plan beginning immediately, Corzine would need to identify about $90 million per year as a source of payment. Presumably, however, Corzine is unable or unwilling to find even $90 million in structural budget savings. ….now that Obama is in on the deal.

Jersey Republicans in the Legislature have proposed $1.3 billion of recurring annual structural budget savings, which would allow for a recurring $500 million annual dedication from existing funds for transportation needs. This reprioritized dedication of revenue would allow for more cash payments for infrastructure projects and for responsible payment schedules for projects that are to be funded with debt.

Jon “return on investment” Corzine dismissed that proposal out of hand. As a result, the hole that New Jersey is in just keeps getting deeper. Why would this financial (gag) genius use scarce funds to retire current debt that was secured at reasonable terms when he can use those funds to preclude the need for risky and expensive debt such as his no-interest, no-payment debt scheme? Corzine's $1.1 billion debt issuance is the worst structured debt the state has ever issued — and it is clearly the worst of all available options for funding state transportation needs…….......and now there‘s a lot more people getting a cut of the deal.

=========================================

POSTED AS A PUBLIC SERVICE The New Jersey Transportation Fund was tanking and was desperate for new cash infusions to satisfy bond covenants of existing Turnpike debt. However, news reports say Transportation monies raised from tax-exempt bond issues may have been fraudulently converted to other uses. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority was bankrupt but has not explained how the bankruptcy occurred.

Authorities need to determine the extent to which then-NJ Transportation officials colluded with the Governor's office to foist toll increases on Jerseyans as the New Jersey Transportation Fund was tanking and was desperate for new cash infusions to satisfy bond covenants of existing Turnpike debt.

Moreover, an official of the state legislature indicated tax-exempt bond revenue was illegally converted to other uses. QUOTE: "The public is tired of seeing money raised for transportation projects end up being used for something else," said Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski, D-Middlesex, New Jersey General Assembly transportation committee chairman. SOURCE August 12, 2008, Asbury Park Press.

The New Jersey government (and oppressed taxpayer base) is just a vast money making machine for the nation’s most crooked and entrenched democrat party gang of thieves.

Good luck to Governor Christie!

Nice posting. Thanks.

The question I’m posing though is this: do the voters of NJ accept his stance on abortion now, whereas he publicly supported (so I’ve read & heard) abortion previously?

The billions that Corzine was getting from Obama. Stimulus money that disappeared. Billions, gone.

Billions of money that was meant for jobs.

All the money O has kept back to use for getting dems elected in 2010

I rather wonder what Christie’s real margin of victory was in NJ given the fraud added in (ACORN, et al). Perhaps so overwhelming there was no way they could cook enough crooked votes to make it look realistic...

No ACORN this time. There were SEIU thugs but not enough to overcome the apathy.

Christie indicted and convicted so many pols in the blue counties that there weren’t many crooked pols to steal the elections.

Newarkers stayed home. As did most of the dems in the blue counties.

There are no jobs. O told too many lies. Corzine didnt’ want to spend his own money for get out the vote....(street money) this time.

Christie is of English and Scots Irish ancestry on his father’s side, and of Italian ancestry on his mother’s side.

I was very fortunate to be present at this event. I had been a strong supported for the governor elect, and have worked by making phone calls to elect him. However, having heard him speak last Friday night to our group, I was very impressed with his character, leadership and common sense. I once again am proud to be a New Jerseyan.

Now to shrink the size of New Jersey government by 30%. Should not be that difficult.

Christie is NOT an Italian name, unless it was Anglicized. The Governor-elect’s dad was of English/Scots-Irish ancestry. Chris’s mother is of Italian heritage, however.
