860 ballots in vandalized drop box (King Co. WA "finds" more ballots in tight Mayoral race)

Some votes critical in determining the Seattle mayoral race may not get counted until next Tuesday.

Vandals tried to get at a ballot drop box in Tukwila in the early morning hours after the election.

"The metal cover plate that we seal the ballot drop box with at 8pm on Election night was ripped off," said Kim Van Ekstrom, with King County Elections.

Ekstrom said the ballots themselves weren't tampered with because the box's design doesn't allow access unless you have the keys.

The question is whether anything was slipped in that shouldn't have been.

"They were in the process of removing the security flaps and verifying the signatures," said Ekstrom.

A ruling on when the 860 ballots can be counted won't happen from the Elections Canvas Board until next Tuesday (November 10) at the earliest.

SEIU or ACORN brownshirts? Definitely ballot stuffing.

We no longer have a vote. It’s getting bad. No, it’s been bad. It’s getting awful.

So how long until the democrat national socialists just do away with the formality of voting?

Geez! Here they go again. Those 860 ballots will morph into more dem votes if needed. Otherwise they will be declared invalid.

BTW, the above does not apply to, as Gov. Perry now calls it, the Soverign State of Texas. We are armed to the teeth and still have some semblance of freedom.

Y’all come on down here if you are conservative. Libtards not welcome. That means you, most of California and the Northeast.

If that invitation applies to me, I thank you. I might have to take you up on it sometime. It gets tiresome being behind enemy lines.

I googled for the candidates and found that both are Dims. The one who is losing now was a Chicago community organizer! I guess the dirty tricks sometimes blow up in their faces.

Anyone notice a familiar pattern here?

In the 2004 Washington State Governor's race, King County's election process was so incompetent as to miss 723 ballots that were only 'discovered' during a manual recount that gave the Democrat Candidate, Christine Gregoire, a whopping 129 vote win out of a mere 2.74 million cast. Why would it not suprise me to learn that it was this same group of obvious incompetents that are counting now? My personal guess, somebody is getting paid.

In the “early morning hours”? What are the ballot boxes doing out there that late? Waiting for stuffing?

I googled for the candidates and found that both are Dims.

Within the past few years, WA voters approved a "top two" primary system. That means the top two vote-getters in the primary advance to the general election, regardless of party. It tends to exclude Republicans in lib hellholes like Seattle. But it can cut both ways. It can exclude dems in conservative cities and counties.

Correct. Dino Rossi (R) won the first count, the first recount and the second recount. Gregoire won the third recount. Gregoire became governor.

A few years earlier Maria Cantwell (D) won her senate seat by approx. 2000 votes statewide.

Clearly a pattern.

Darn good questions. WA votes by mail but also provides ballot drop boxes. I would think that the boxes should be sealed and removed to gov't election offices at the time that voting ends on election day.

Question please, if the King County election officials are so incompetent as to have such an undercount and to leave a ballot box out where it can be ‘vandalized’, why haven’t they been fired? Inquiring minds want to know.

“Vandals tried to get at a ballot drop box in Tukwila in the early morning hours after the election.”

SEIU? ACORN? Democrats? Is there a difference?

After the voting fiasco in 2004, voting procedures and officials were shaken up statewide and epecially in King. County. (For example, the state went to voting by mail.) But dems controlled the state and county, so it was a dem "solution." This "solution" was about as effective as most dem "solutions," which is to say, not effective or counterproductive. A cynic would say the "solution" was not meant to solve the problems, but rather to consolidate dem control.
