Dan Riehl checks the President's schedule and learns that
Obama's not going to Fort Hood, but rather to Camp David for the weekend. In an update, Dan notes that his predecessor is more sensitive to the situation.
Are you kidding me? Camp frickin' David? What, does he have a tee time close by? For heaven's sakes, he's the CIC. And he's taking the weekend off? This guy simply doesn't care. Unbelievable via Fox.
11:25AM THE PRESIDENT addresses the House Democratic Caucus - Cannon House Office Building
2:30PM THE PRESIDENT makes a statement to the press on Health Care - Rose Garden
2:45PM THE PRESIDENT and THE FIRST LADY depart The White House en route Camp David - South Lawn
That Dancing with the Indians conference must have really worn the poor guy out so much he can't spare time to comfort the survivors of the jihadi Major's massacre.

This isn’t even a “present” vote.
This is a downright disgrace.

Not only is he dividing us, but he is putting us all in grave danger.
He wants America to be destroyed and remade in HIS image, as a totalitarian state. The U.S. military is nothing but an impediment to his goal.
I have never felt this way about anyone in my life.

Thanks, see my outrage at post 123. His picture is next to “jerk” in the dictionary. Wonder if he and Michelle had a date last night?
To: timetostand
He’s too tired from pushing health care to console grieving families. People in America understand how hard he works.
To: ohioWfan
I think he’s going to use his empathy for the murderer as an excuse to dither some more on Afghanistan. He’ll ultimately decide it’s too dangerous to send more troops. They may all come back as mass murderers. /sarc

What would happen if all branches of the military stood up and held a vote of no confidence in the President? I wish.
To: 444Flyer
You ALWAYS find the appropriate pics!! Thank you!

He is avoiding the obvious questions that would go along with a visit to the scene of domestic muslim terrorism.
—Isn’t this premeditated islamic terrorism?
—Do muslims have mixed loyalties?/Can muslims be trusted?
—Why didn’t you come sooner? (Bush was criticized for waiting too long, to go to Katrina site?)
—When will you reach a decision on Afghanistan troop levels?
—What do you say to your supporters about your promise to leave Iraq?
He is basically avoiding the obvious hard questions.
To: McLynnan
He already started that in his radio address where he praised the military for its "diversity."
Yeah, I'm sure the families of those brutally murdered by a Muslim terrorist are thrilled that he was in a "diverse" military....
No matter what, we know that Obama will use this terrorist attack to put us in even graver danger. May God protect us until we can get this traitor out of the White House!

That’s right; he probably knows he would be unable to fake grief at Fort Hood.
To: NorwegianViking
He probably knew that it wouldn’t make for a pretty picture, can you imagine the disgust the “soldiers on the ground” feel about his lack of empathy, PC-don’t jump to conclusions attitude?
Besides, this way he can let the countries anger about the whole situation brew and stay out of Texas where emotions are boiling. Someone might pull a “Joe Wilson” on him and he can’t afford to face that. Just my opinion....

Wouldn’t matter: it is the American people who have confidence in Obama.
To: Theodore R.
He's going to have to practice between now and the memorial service.
But he's no Bill Clinton who could turn the tears on at a whim. He's cold and uncaring, and not a very good actor. He is a monster, and it's beginning to show to average Americans.

"Sorry, crescen, but I don't argue on a conservative forum"
No you don't.
You simply make statements that are completed unfounded, based solely in your own self proclaimed omniscience. You have no way of knowing what actions President Bush would've taken when he was President. Nor does anyone else.
The differences between the W and Obama are vast. I've met President Bush on several occasions, I"ve always admired and respected George Bush, and there's nothing that I've posted that could be construed otherwise.
That's not at all the point of the discussion. The point is that there's at least a plausibly good reason for Obama to not be at Ft. Hood, and all this venom wasted on something he didn't do is beginning to sound more like "Obama Derangement Syndrome" than objective commentary.
