Leventhal: He would have had to reload the FN5.7 (which held a 20 round clip) several times, “which would take some time”. What an idiot. If you have several clips, reloading takes seconds.

I read a report somewhere earlier that said Sgt. Hunley had been shot about 4 times.....I don’t remember where all she was hit - but a true heroine! Fearless!
She is from NC and her dad is the mayor of Carolina Beach, NC. She served on and was recognized for her outstanding work on the Wrightsville Beach police force earlier this decade.
She is married to a Ft. Bragg (I believe) soldier.
Her dad and her husband are said to be on their way to Texas to be with her. I think I also read she has a 2 year old child and an older child by a previous relationship - but who knows if all these facts are true.
I am just very happy she was an expert with firearms and took the perp down - and that she is from NC!!!

The major was a regular at a shooting range I have a partner with. He used a FN 5.7 x 28 pistol. He was at the range this weekend and was very adept at shooting targets at 100 yards.

How do you promote a guy that has been counseled his whole time including the fact he was trying to convert patients to Islam?

The FN FiveseveN (their spelling, not mine) is a pistol. And not a great one at that - the 5.7mm rounds it fires aren’t as effective against unarmored people as the 9mm is.
