I’m glad someone in the MSM had the courage to write what needed to be written. The way some of these first responders wait until they have overwhelming force, may be prudent for their own survival, but not always prudent for the survival of the people trapped inside with the madmen.

She is a very brave woman and I’m very proud of her and that she took him down I heard on the radio today that the terrorist prayed 5 times a day and would not permit his photo to be taken with a woman in the picture. What, no "wait and see" Columbine-style response? I always find it sad to see cops on TV who say their overriding priority is to make it home each night unharmed. To me, that's a sign that you need to find a different job.
Coming from a family with several members in law enforcement, my family members' uniform belief was that they wanted to protect and serve. They understood the risks, but felt they were worth taking. Their overriding concern was to confront criminal behavior and stop it, even at risk to themselves. They were not reckless cops, but they would not stand by and listen to people getting shot at.
‘You’ll fight as you train’ is certainly a truism, isn’t it?
I hope I get to see Hussein, famously remembered for his “the cops acted stupidly” comment, having to present a medal to this hero cop for taking down one of his Muslim buddies.
