uthorities say Fort Hood shooting Nidal Malik Hasan remains in a coma but is expected to live.
A federal law enforcement official said investigators have not been able to talk to Hasan since the deadly rampage that left 13 people dead and injured 30 others at the sprawling Army post in Texas on Thursday.
The initial investigation shows that Hasan allegedly used only one gun during the attack -- a 5.7-caliber semiautomatic pistol.

He went for penetration, not killing power. Each bullet probably transited several victims. That’s why there is such a high ratio of wounded to killed.

Freeper popataz yesterday said that he had shot at a range around this guy, and he named this oddball gun/caliber then.
So I’d say that Popataz is the real deal, and met the killer last month.

Not that we need any more proof; this shows that he was committing jihad, and not simply snapping because someone told him scary stories and called him bad names.

Media reports said that he has volunteered for lots of recent combat fighting courses that are not part of a shrink’s MOS.
Freeper Popataz met the killer last month at a civlian range, when the killer was shooting this unusual caliber pistol. Popataz reported this 24 hours ago, before it was in any media.
The entire world needs to hear the answers. The media won't be able to shut him down like they did with the images of 9/11.
