Getty Images President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships.
After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.
But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Obama does not want to poison the jury pool which may find this shrink to be a “victim.”
I agree. We as conservatives have to keep that man safe and sound, without a scratch while he is POTUS. After he is out too. He’ll become an afterthought of how the US almost fell to the socialists and irrelevant as Jimmy Carter. I pray he stays very very very healthy and is never hurt or attacked. As for who’s behind him? Probably many people - Soros for one. Tinfoil hat off.
“On election night, I saw a clip of him departing AF1 with Corzine, and it seemed that the salute he gave then was... an inconvenience. Compared to President Bush who was always crisp, smile on his face, relayed respect for those serving.”
Reason? Obama wants people to fawn to him, he probably thinks that the salute is demeaning to him. On the other hand Bush served and zero didn’t. Bush understood. Nuff said.
Watching that yesterday really REALLY made me heartsick for George W. he had such a honest way of showing his emotions that always seemed to say “I feel it too and we’ll beat this”.
The puppet yesterday couldn’t even say anything without looking down at his notes. That says to me that he doesn’t have any sorrowful feelings about what happened. Didn’t have anything to say from the heart.
It breaks my heart that just like the terrorist infiltrated our military, this usurper has infiltrated our country at the highest level.

Appalling and disgraceful: in other words, just another day in the 0 administration.
I despise this Muslim non American alleged president, he is importing more terrorist, his plan is on schedule.
Contrary to the administration and media spin, I voted against Obama and these guys on Tuesday just as much as I voted for McDonnell.
Obama is not feeling any grief about this, he was just showing his true colors!
Or he knows, and was ending out a coded message to somebody

That's because he is not an American. And I'm not talking about the technicality of his birthplace -- which we will probably never know -- I'm talking about life experience, shared histories and events. He does not share these emotions with us because he is not, culturally, an Amercan. Go back and listen to his speech commemorating 9/11. Same thing. Absolutely devoid of any sense of attachment or "this happened to ME, too".
Beyond this, the most repulsive element of his "address to the nation" yesterday was the sickening lapse into campaign mode when he actually had the audacity to say that "I want you to know, the well-being and safety of the military is my greatest honor and concern as Commander in Chief." I wanted to puke. This assclown marxist who has left our men and women in uniform twisting in the wind for months, used a horrific event like the shooting at Ft. Hood to try and make himself out to be some kind of proponent of the military. Words cannot describe the disgust that fills me over this.
>>”The man is simply a complete and utter fool.”<<
Yes, he is the worst pres__ent ever.
He really has to get out of our house, pronto.
Zer0 and his thugs are melting before our very eyes.

If Barack Obama were only his own worst enemy... No, he was inappropriately entrusted with being the Commander in Chief, and top Executive Officer in our nation.
Can a person who is clearly this unqualified to represent himself and protect his own image better than this, be expected to represent our nation and protect it?
We’ve got a rogue on our hands folks. Our nation is clearly at risk. Democrats, I don’t know how you do it, but you must disassociate yourself with this man and think of the nation first. It’s a hard task, but some things are more important than the ego of one man or his political party.
