Bush was reading to small children when he was told about 9/11. It is understandable that he would not want to frighten the kids. it would be up to the children’s parents to break the news to them, in their own way and in their own timing.
Obama has no such excuse.

I also find it disturbing that the people in the room waiting for the Obama had no idea about the shooting.
That in itself makes it even more discusting.

After approx. 2 minutes and 180 words of talking about his plans and thanking everyone that attended the conference and giving an enthusiastic “shout out,” Obama said the following:
“I planned to make broader remarks about the challenges that lay ahead for Native Americans as well as collaboration with our administration, but as some of you might have heard….”
Isn’t that just awful!! The President was going to talk more about himself and what he wanted to do, but blast it! there was a shooting at some army base and now he can’t talk more about himself!!
Is this man for real???!
He then spent approx. the next 3 minutes meandering around searching for a coherent thought! Oh,,and it took him nearly 3 minutes to say after talking about the conference “My immediate thoughts and prayers are with the wounded.”
No they were not, Mr. President! Your thoughts and prayers are with and about yourself!!
His last words about the matter? “Thank you for your participation here today.”

My God! Nearly two and a half minutes before mentioning the murders of 12 soldiers, the wounding of 31 others so that he can praise these imbeciles in the audience????? What a freaking moron. I’ve never been more ashamed of my country that I am now with this poor excuse for a human in the WH.
One thing for sure, the shootings certainly took the Capitol protests off the radar tonight.
I believe that Obama’s seemingly inept remarks were intentional and calculated. The long delay before mentioning the shooting contains a message to both the military and the media — what happened today at Ft. Hood is not important.

This arrogant, pompous ass is really straining the American nation. His mad march to marxism continues unabated, and he still can’t muster the courage to address the US military with the respect owed to those great men and women.
These remarks are symptomatic of his values and his morals; he plays to the crowd even while knowing of the horrific violence at Ft. Hood, and then gives it passing lip service as part of his larger remarks.
I’ve seen enough of this gasbag; a stuffed shirt in an empty suit; full of himself and ONLY himself.
